Waitress was pleasant. Starter of breaded mushrooms were a bit too crispy, obviously been in the fryer too long. Nachos had obviously been under the grill too long, friends sauce for the steak was watery. Other friends macaroni cheese was good!. Asked for coffee to be told the machine had just been cleaned! A black coffee was made, possibly by instant coffee. Irish coffee came like a latte and the taste of liqueur was poor, if any was put in at all. Very disappointed! Food was basic, which is fine...but it was disgusting. Service was SO SLOW-we were an hour in before we got our starters. MORE STAFF. Table service for drinks when the restaurant and the outside is packed doesn't seem very sensible. I understand that you don't want people congregating at the bar as it's a small place-but they are congregating at the bar because they are not getting served quick enough! Worst experience I've had there. Had to wait 40 minutes for order to be taken and an hour in total from booking to good hitting the table. Food looked very unappealing. Ordered the Chargrill chicken burger that had nothing on it but a bit of sorry looking lettuce, no tomatoes and onion on the burger and no side salad as stated by menu.
