Stopped here randomly on our drive from Inverness to Skye. It was bumping for lunch hour! Enjoyed our Americanos (best one of the trip—though not very stiff competition in Scotland), tea, and sandwiches. Tuna melt was decent. Brie + bacon toastie was cheesy, the bacon is Scottish style for sure. My sister loved the roast red pepper hummus sandwich, tasty and a nice vegetable fix amidst gluttonous eating. We recommend the side salad. Bonus notes: WiFi, bathroom for customers, and a cute view of sheep!

Great welcome and delicious food. stopped here today and we had chorizo soup which was recommend by the chef himself and was delicious !! Had great coffee and carrot cake to follow and my hubby had chicken and mayo toastie. Everything was top quality and well presented. The lady who served us was so friendly too and informative about the local area. Best stop we ve had in the last 2 weeks in Scotland. Highly recommend ! Stunning view from outside deck !

Love the café! What a wee gem; staff are lovely and welcoming. Food is lovely and there are gluten free options. I had a gluten free fry-up with a mix of things. Coffee is really good! Note it's best to visit after 12:00 as there are more options and they don't serve food between 11:30 and 12:00 as they are swapping between breakfast and lunch. Kudos to the girl who served us; they were multitasking 100 things and was still very friendly

We discovered this place a year ago when visiting and touring Scotland. We loved it so much, we decided to come back this year and made a special detour to go there. We rushed to make it in time and arrived just a few minutes before closing time. The parking lot and terrace were full (people had just received their food orders), customers were flocking inside as well, drinking coffee and enjoying pastries. As we approached, we were greeted with „sorry, we are closed“. Which, given how busy the place was, and people were just tucking into their plates full of food, was hard to believe. The lady behind the counter had just started to clean the coffee machine, however there were drinks in the fridge behind her and some pastries left. We asked whether we could buy some drinks from the fridge and take some pastries to go and received a vague and unenthusiastic „yeah, we could do that“ before she focused again on cleaning the machine. We then asked one of the two other girls behind the counter if they were ready to take our order (the one we spoke to clearly being busy). The latter shrugged, looked helplessly towards her colleague busy cleaning the machine, whilst the third kept diligently staring at her phone, avoiding eye contact. After I enquired again, the lady cleaning the machine changed her mind, stating that „Sorry guys, normally we would, but now we are closed. Sorry“. Then all three waitresses - literally - turned their backs on us. We then proceeded to leave, as it became clear that, in spite of we had been initially led to believe, we would not be served after all. As we were leaving, another customer shouted „rude” at the waitresses, so the unprofessional and dismissive behaviour of the staff didn’t go unnoticed by other customers. We really liked this place when we stopped by the first time - this experience definitely put a damper on that memory and we certainly won’t drive the extra mile next time we’re...

I cannot say enough great things about this cafe! The food, the coffee, and the views were amazing - but that wasn't even the best part. The staff was really something else. Everybody we encountered was so kind. Not only did they give us recommendations on where to visit, and asked us about how it was the next day (we visited the cafe almost every day of our trip) but the most extraordinary part of it. My friend and I asked where we could find nail polish in a store in the area for the wedding we were in town for; unfortunately, they were all too far to drive to in our timeframe. One of the ladies had some in her car that she let us borrow! It really doesn't get much better than that! Thank you for all of the wonderful meals...

If there was a zero, that would be the score. 3 of us arrived late lunchtime, we waited for 15 mins by the counter. We were ignored completely - (was it because we were in m/c gear?). We discussed the menu, smelt and saw the food coming out of the kitchen, mentally choosing our orders, which had gone from a coffee and cake to a full meal each. Not even a slight acknowledgement from the guy on the coffee machine or the ladies running around with food. We waited longer and longer. In the end we left....it was a cheap stop we spent nothing. We probably would have waited if someone had given us some form of acknowledgement. A shame really...but we found somewhere else who appreciated us coming and spending...
