The atmosphere at Murly Tuck Café is simply amazing—me and my husband always feel welcome the moment we step inside. Lukasz’s cooking is extraordinary, bringing incredible flavors to every dish, while Edyta Kranz is not only a fantastic baker but also does a wonderful job running the front of the house. Their dedication and passion make Murly Tuck a true gem in Tarves, and the café is such a valuable asset to the community.Thank you so much for such amazing food and hospitality❤️

One of our favourite places to while away some time on a lazy Friday afternoon. Cosy, friendly and a happy wee place. The food is always exceptional. I had croque madame, but with Lucasz's Polish flair of course. The most beautiful smoked pastrami and home made secret sauce, cheesy bechamel and pickles. Traditional fluffy Christmas sponge cake and tea. It's a warm and welcoming place, come rain or shine. Edyta is an impeccable host. She and her husband Lucasz make a perfect team

Lovely little place for a great cup of coffee and on my visit a black pudding and fried egg roll which was fab , staff always friendly and it does feel as though they know everybody who comes in, always a stop for us if in the area. Edit ; The Tuck is now under new ownership and weve been in twice , the food and service has gone up a level and its now a definite place to stop when in the area , try the Murly Benadict absolutely fabulous

Wonderfully inviting, my visit to this adorable cafe was very enjoyable. The food was delicious (try the venison burger and, if you can manage the portion, their ice cream milkshake), all of the staff were so pleasant, helpful, and funny. My son ordered a strawberry ice cream milkshake and the kitchen staff made too much (they're made to order), so we got another one for free (in two massive glasses I might add!). All around the walls are shelves stacked with gifts, hand crafted and home made, all available to buy. From cosy gloves and hats, beautiful artwork, to ornaments, jewellery and much more, there's something for everyone. There is a small area with kids toys to keep the little ones occupied while you're waiting for your order (which is not a very long time at all), and the home bakes are as tasty as you could wish for (I bought not one but two massive slabs of Mars Bar, white chocolate, and krispies - so yummy!). This place was highly recommended by friends of the family, a couple that urged us to try the place out and I shall now be trusting them with my cafe visits...

Absolutely fantastic.

Have visited a couple of times now. I am a very picky person and quite harsh when it comes to hospitality standards as I have been a manager of several fine-dining establishments in the past.

Tried Steak Burger, Muckle Breakfast and Mushroom soup of the day. Can not fault a single bit!

Service 10/10 from every member of the team.

Coffee 10/10 cup to cup. Perfectly silky latte froth every time!

Food 10/10 absolutely delicious and wonderfully presented.

Atmosphere 10/10. Cute, homely decor fits perfectly the aesthetic of this countryside gem.

I don’t leave reviews very often, but I have been left feeling like I owe one to hard-working staff of The Murly Tuck.

Well Done...

Heard much about this place so went past first thing for breakfast. Got there just at opening time so it was quiet. Staff were very nice as was the breakfast. Double sausage and bacon, egg, beans, tatties scone, black pudding, haggis slice, tomato, mushrooms and toast. The only thing, was I'd forgot to ask for tea, as this is extra. So I'd practically finished before realising, but no problem in asking for a tea to finish off a great breakfast. Kept me going most of the day. Will...
