Wasn't sure what to make of this place. When we arrived there at about 7.15pm there were only a couple of cars in the huge car park, which didn't bode well. The decor reminded me of an old social club and when we walked through the door we were greeted by the stares of locals in the bar slowly chewing through their meals. A lots of the tables around the corner in the main restaurant bit were taken and the atmosphere was one of hushed friendly chatter. We grabbed a table, ordered at the bar and the food came really quickly. No messing. Great service and outstanding food!! We both had the venison burgers that came with salad and fries and was a large portion and very tasty. No room for dessert. Slightly lacking in ambiance but price (just over £30 with 2 soft drinks) and food was good. There is parking right outside. Be aware they stop taking food orders at about 7:45 (maybe even a little earlier than this) so make sure you arrive in time with...
