We originally planned for our family to come up for our wedding and organised a meal at the Station for us all. Unfortunately due to Coronavirus they all had to stay home. Leaving us to get married on our own. We arrived in Scotland prior to lockdown and went in to see Abi. She was extremely understanding and helpful through all of this and we decided to go and eat there anyway on the Friday night. This was the best decision we made all the time we were in Scotland. When we arrived we got an amazing welcome and were shown to our table. Abi had put confetti on the table along with a card and a bottle of wine. What an amazing gesture. We settled down and ordered our food. Well all I can say is go in and eat here if you get chance. The food was out of this world as you can see in the photographs. Presentation was superb and the taste I can't do justice in mere words. If I could give this place a mark of 11 out of 10 I would. Truly outstanding. We are hopefully travelling back to Scotland in June next year and this will be the first place in our itinerary. Wish she lived near to where we live as we would be regular visitors.

Edit: 13 June 2021

We have now been back for a second time and yet again we were astounded by the welcome from Abi, Robyn and Andi. Robyn greeted us warmly with a smile and guided us to our table. This time we both had a Sunday roast and it was spectacular. Presentation was beautiful and the taste well, need I say more. All this was improved on by Andi who was so amenable. He also has a great way of speaking to kids. What a great team Abi has put together. A real gem of a pub/restaurant. People like this deserve so much success. Thank you Abi...

My now husband and I were looking for a venue for our wedding reception in the Gretna Green area, and after a search found this lovely pub in Kirkpatrick Fleming, which was only a few miles from our wedding venue at the Old Blacksmiths shop. From initial contact to find out if they were able to accommodate our party, they were helpful and quick to respond to all our queries. Unfortunately as things turned out we couldn't have the planned party (due to COVID travel restrictions in England) but Abi was understanding about us having to cancel. As we were in the Gretna area before lockdown in England, we decided to go to the pub for a meal anyway, as we were disappointed not to be able to host our party there. We were blown away, Abi had prepared a table with balloons, a bottle & a card!

We enjoyed a superb 3 course meal and could not fault a thing. The meat was tender, the Highland Chicken was absolutely delicious and the crumble pudding was to die for. They really have a top class chef!

We really hope that people continue to patronise the pub, they are following all the guidelines and everyone is well spaced apart. It is spotlessly clean, very well presented with a good mix of modern and traditional furniture. They really deserve to do well and continue to thrive.

We are (COVID allowing) coming back to Scotland in 2021 and will certainly be returning for another meal. We would have no reservations in recommending...

Just been done taken over and all done up, looks amazing!

100% recommend The Station, whether it's going for a meal or to enjoy a drink, there is something for all.

Great location just off the motorway so great for us to enjoy a meal then get on the road again on a long 5 hour journey South!

Great food and I can't wait to go back and try something new on the menu! Been lucky to try a nice little mix of dishes so far and currently my personal favourites are the filo parcels starter and sweetcorn falafel side dish. My husband loved the sharing platter (that he enjoyed to himself haha 😂 it is enough for 2 but I'm vegetarian and he wanted the meats lol). Definitely get the dauphinoise potatoes, they are soo good!!

They have such a good wide range of drink selection too with an amazing lit up bar!

Unique decor and great atmosphere inside, with a suntrap of a beer garden out the back, it's lovely.

Little bits of detail like the train sleepers that are built into the bar and the little train details on mirrors and windows are just examples of the thought and effort that has gone into the look of the place.

Will...
