The store and café is a unique hub for travelers from across the globe and people of the local community. The staff are always friendly and have shown me personally such kindness...I always find it an uplifting place. If the store doesn't have it ... Well you likely don't need it! As well as serving delicious food cakes and an array of hot and cold drinks there is a fascinating selection of local history books. With seating indoor and out the setting is simply epic. The mountains behind quickly reach their dizzying heights from sea level and provide an imposing backdrop. I've included a few photographs taken directly outside. And if you do visit, don't forget the simply amazing ancient open air place of worship, a five minute walk away. The café doesn't admit dogs inside but they are very welcome as Nesta will testify if only she knew how, perhaps the photos do that for her... However dogs are always welcome and there are always water bowls at the ready outside.

Been visiting here for quite a few years now and I've always admired the hard work the owner and her team have put into making this a place well worth visiting. It's always well stocked with essentials and quite a few items to treat yourself with when you're on holiday. The views from the cafe section are second to none (see the photo I've added). Good place to watch the rain outside too if you're unlucky with the weather! On our visit last week we had coffee and tiffin tray bake on three separate occasions. Bit greedy I know but it was outstanding. Definitely the best coffee in Torridon in my opinion and far superior to the coffee you get in most places. We enjoyed it so much I bought a bag of the beans to bring home with me! For our journey home we bought soup and sandwiches and although it was simple fare it was absolutely delicious and a fitting end to our trip. Highly recommended...

The local convenience store in Torridon doubles as a small cafe. I had passed through Shieldaig which was very busy and I found this little cafe. I had the soup of the day which was very nice. One of the nice things was I was offered more hot water for my tea without extra charge. Most places would charge for another cup of tea. It was worth the effort to travel a bit further when you get good customer service and the food is good.

Soooo lovely & sooo 'Brilliantly' Vegan

Called in last week ( Nov 4th ) after a brilliant walk around Loch Cuilin & Loch Clair & a drive through the 'Immense' Glen - Lovely home made soup, toasted sandwiches & breakfast rolls in a warm & pleasant environment. Great little store, very welcoming with the most amazing selection of 'home made' vegan cakes & sandwich options. My daughter was so pleased with her vegan options ( Thank you ), the Coffee is lovely too & the staff more than happy to offer dairy free spreads & milks. Bigger local restaurants & hotels could learn a hell of a lot about customer care, & menus that represent the diversity required to provide food in today's retail environment. We left with half of the cakes & scones - as a take away ^_^ - stocked up on some general supplies & bought some cards !! Thank you so much - we appreciated your efforts - very wholesome ! The Burke Family - Bakewell !

Am Ploc - Is a fascinating stop & I would urge anybody to make time for a detour into Torridon village to the cafe &...
