The Wee Train — Restaurant in Scotland

Myself and daughter booked for an early dinner at 4pm. The staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly. I phoned in advance to enquire about vegetarian options. The staff didn't mind us choosing off the dinner menu (instead of lunch menu) even though dinner service didnt officially start til 5pm, and they were so attentive. Never been in this bar before. We were hungry and needed lunch after a brief visit to the town. Inside the bar was excellent. Plenty of Tradional character and well laid out for meals. The menu was good with a wide range of choices and the staff were excellent all the time helping us and other customers. I had a very usual lunch based on others people's choices and standards but my sticky toffee pudding and ice cream was one of the best I have had in a long time. Had a lovely visit to this place after a wee walk up Louden hill, really welcoming and friendly staff. Dog friendly too.Good lay out, decorated nice and with comfortable seating. Open fire in the bar adding a nice cozy feel. Its Just what you are looking for after a frosty start to the morning. Tasty food and plentiful portions sizes.
