We went and it’s looks brilliant. Don’t get me wrong standard of food is terrific. However we walked in and didn’t see sign and owners dog was in restaurant and website said dog friendly. They saw he had a dog and website say down. No one came to order. So we went up. After 15 mins I went up and asked about drinks and was told they were busy and would get them as soon as. Then a lady came over to the table and said no dogs. The sign was in the main entrance of the door and everyone walked in the vestibule area due to doors being opened. She then told us we could sit outside but no tables. She brought table outside infront of everyone and sat us in-front of the glass very humiliating. After 50 mins I asked why our food was taking so long. We ordered a wrap and a cheese ploughman’s. She said they only do a table at a time !!! From when I placed our order to when it came it was 1 hour and 20 mins. Only a sorry and nothing else. There was so much lettuce and fruit and pickle on the board half of the meal was this. Only one bit of cheese and some slices of cold meat. My husband wrap was good but not worth the price. Very expensive for what you get and also...

This excellent new cafe is amazing!! It’s well worth a trip (and it’s a very convenient stop along the way to the ferry to Iona.). The food was superb and plentiful - fresh, healthy and delicious and very reasonably priced. Everything we ordered was outstanding. I had the Chatter Platter, which included 3 delicious homemade relishes, grilled veggies and fresh fruit and bread. We also tried the Squeaky Cheese salad and the veggie burger - both just as great. Don’t miss the chips (curly fries) - they were awesome too. We really enjoyed meeting the family who run the cafe, including their son, who was very helpful too. A warm atmosphere and fantastic food made this a highlight of our visit. The cafe just recently opened and we wish them...

Lovely looking cafe with beautiful views. We waited for 45 minutes and unfortunately in that time we didn't even have a drinks order taken. We were told it would be about a 10 minute wait for drinks orders as they only had one person on the coffee machine, despite us not actually wanting coffee. Felt that the staff were overwhelmed with the busy period. Ideally it should have been made clear when we sat down that the kitchen was busy and that they couldn't really take orders. Left after 45 mins wait without any orders taken. Will hope to visit again soon when it is quieter as the menu...

A lovely, family-run, wee place!! We stumbled onto it by complete chance and ended up spending a good while there. We had both items from the specials menu and they were well made and tasted fresh and delicious. Service is friendly and not intrusive, we also bought more of the chutney and marmalades to take home. I would 100% recommend (and have done so already!). Keep up the good work and we will be back next time we're on the island..
