Stopped by due to the sign for award winning pies. £6.50 for a pie and some chips. There was 9 chips. And the pie was nothing special. Had the curry pie. Won't be going back. Would have preferred a cold bells pie.

Edit: In response to the reply. I reviewed multiple places as in my maps app they kept popping up and I was trying to improve my local guide score. So not quite incredible. If you took the time to read the reviews you would see most were 3-5 stars.

I must have been wrong with the price, it must have been £6.75 which is even worse for the food that was received. The chips were actually very good. There was however not very many as I stated before.

I understand your not happy with the review. However I stand by it. The pie was nothing special and the price was far to high for what it was. You say in your reply a pie is £4, sorry but that is unreal. PieBobs in Arbroath has pies that blow yours out of the water for half the price.

"We will however share your negative opinion you feel so inclined to shout out to the world about..." I didn't shout anything anywhere. I left a review, in lowercase, with no cursing or being mean.

I just think your a bit upset that someone had such a poor experience at your establishment that they took the time to leave a review. Maybe instead of getting into a flaming match you should maybe change something's and become a better business?

I actually don't like bells pies very much, the statement was just to say that for the price paid I would have been happier with it. PieBobs or even Scott brothers pies are usually what I would go for.

Once again I'm sorry your not happy with the review, iv actually upped it to two stars, the chips were good and the pie was not for me. Mainly because I can't see how that was in anyway shape or form a £4 pie.

Beat of luck with your business, however I still...

Had dinner here today. Had been many times before but not for sometime. Was served my nice girl who was very pleasant. We are a family of five and four of us are adult age and one child . We all had a soft drink and a main. Food was good but all came out one at a time which by the time the last meal came my oldest son who ordered plain macaroni and was charged full price for simple bowl of . Price for this was £12.95 no extras just small bowl of macaroni. Also my daughter who is sixteen and a bit fussy asked for a plain cheese burger with processed slice of cheese and chips was charged £14.00 for. Myself had the bravas brunch which was very tasty but small portions that I was asked if I wanted halloumi as well as the chorizo was charged £14.20 for this meal. My wife ordered pasta carbonara, again was very nice and probably the correct price to be charged at £10.95. My younger son who is nine ordered the wee cookies kids meal and had the chicken and chips no dessert and for this we were charged £8.95 ( for a little bit of chicken and chips is totally unacceptable price to be charged). Drinks 2x cokes £3.90 apple juice for my son £1.95 2x soda and lime ( half pint size £5.80 . All together feel a little dissatisfied with the cost. Although food was fine we were charged for full meal prices that we didn’t actually receive. Value for money zero. Hope you take this review for what it is and not someone just having a moan ....

Not the greatest, very disappointed with "award winning pie" which was definitely not cooked long enough, ended up with stomach cramps, then violently sick a few hours later which was no coincidence and certainly not fun to try to deal with. Expensive for food and drink also, never again! Looking at the negative business reviews, I can see that when the business owner receives one they instantly blame the reviewer (see reply by owner to this review also) but maybe the owner would get on better with current, previous and even future customers if they didn't do this and instead just put their hands up and apologised, lucky I did not contact environmental health. Remember the number 1 rule of running a business "the customer is always right". Will definitely pop in and visit your business at some point to sort out this matter directly with yourself as your food made me very ill. Will be telling as many family members, work colleagues and my large group of friends to stay clear of your business due to your attitude as the business owner alone. With your very bad attitude, simply shocked to say the least. I live nearby in Monifieth so plenty local people to tell, some of which I know visit your business occasionally if plenty money. Thank you very much for...

We stopped off on our way home from a trip to Carnoustie, for some takeaway pies to eat at home. The pies were lovely - we had bhuna and Mac cheese with pickle. Slightly pricey but you’re paying for homemade products and quality ingredients. The rest of the menu sounds great. It’s quite an unassuming location, but there are no-frills indoor and outdoor tables. It’s small but very clean and tidy. We were served quickly but then waited for 15 mins for our takeaway coffees - I think they’d been forgotten, as it felt like a long time. One of the people indoors was vegan and when he was served, there were no vegan options left, which was a shame as he couldn’t eat alongside his family! It’s hard to judge demand for vegan food though. I don’t think I could justify travelling from Glasgow but well worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Absolutely loved lunch at the weekend after walking from Broughty Ferry 😋 Highly recommend! Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked (steak just right) homemade bread and biscotti were fantastic 👌🏼 Our little dog was welcomed with a water dish, doggy treats and lots of spoiling from the very friendly staff ♥️ Extra cherry on top was taking home x3 pies with us which again were outstanding. Will definitely return 😍 (We took advantage of BYOB and brought along a bottle of wine, decided on the bus for the return journey after a very satisfying lunch 👍🏼)

First time visit with friends who had been there before. Had tried their award winning pies previously (👍🏻)but was even more impressed after sitting in for a meal. Loved the chicken bhuna pie and 3 sides that I had. My partner and friends also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Will definitely be back to try other delicious looking meals on the menu. Thanks for a fab meal and great service from the staff
