Heard only good things about the wobbly dog and now we understand why! We were greeted by a beautiful spotty pony, it's wee pal and a waggy tailed, not so wobbly, dog in the back garden. The cafe is colourful and full of lovely local crafts, particularly good if you're fond of crocheting or knitting. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had the tasty spicy lentil soup with spinach and butternut squash and are wondering how we can recreate it at home. We also had some filled rolls and the wee person had the fruit pancakes with a wide selection of sticky sweet stuff to keep anyone happy. The cakes and bakes were to die for. The peppermint slice and chocolate fudge cake were some of the best I've tasted. The husband is thinking about returning for a slice of the victoria sponge which looks like the ones Granny used to make! Fabulous café, well...

Who didn’t give this establishment a 5* rating?? “I will hunt you down and then I will
”, well no, it won’t come to that but it is a really fantastic little spot. If you are anywhere near, do visit.

Check opening times, it was open until 4pm when we visited, we just made it in time at around 3:30pm.

A really great find, especially as: eateries and coffee shops are few and far between in the area it seems, and those that are about are only open a few days a week, then for limited hours!

Superb selection of handmade cakes and puddings. We thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Plus great coffee too, a very nice cafetiùre of coffee for me. 👍

Oh, just realised that I nearly forgot to say that the gentleman running the coffee shop was very pleasant and friendly. Made us...

We were reccomend here last year but missed it, so we came back this year and we were not disappointed. Soup, a bacon roll and proper coffee out a cafetiere! All really tastey. The staff were friendly and chatty, the locals in were a friendly and chatty. All happy to help with our holiday for advice or places to visit etc. We even picked up a bit of local pottery to which we were told was quite rare.

We liked our visit that much we came back a couple of days later for cakes, which we heard so much about, again we were not disappointed. The biscoff cheesecake was stunning and a coconut and lime cake was also stunning. Fresh and perfect balance of sharp off the lime and sweet off the coconut.

Lovely place, lovely people and lovely food. We...

Had the most fabulous coffee and cake stop here at the Wobbly Dog on Saturday, before a really arduous trip over the heritage trail from Port of Ness to Tolsta that we had mistakenly thought was ok for bikes - wrong! We had beautiful coffee and walnut, lemon drizzle, and victoria sponge cake along with great coffee from cafetieres, and took some lemon and ginger flapjacks to go. Those flapjacks probably saved our lives (well, not literally but whilst pushing our baggage laden bikes over the boggy moors, it definitely felt like it!!), they were gorgeous and definitely helped us get through! A great little find and would heartily recommend!
