Family had bought us a voucher for our anniversary so we had a lovely meal here.We booked for 5pm which was a great time.Shown to our table straightaway. We both ordered the chicken slider for starters. It was very tasty indeed.I had the lamb and husband the steak. Both meals were excellent. For desserts I had the Eton mess and husband chocolate brownie. Whoever said the portions here were small 🤔They were big meals.I had a bottle of Rose half of which I took home. Also we took home a box of flapjacks. The only thing I would say is there were a few dogs barking at each other. It's no place for a nice restaurant like this.Leave them at home. The nice staff were really attentive and we didn't wait long between courses. All in all a lovely experience not cheap at all but for a treat I would recommend.

We recently dined at The Sparrowhawk, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was impressively fast, and the waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They really knew the menu well, which made ordering a breeze. Our food arrived hot and quickly, ensuring we didn't have to wait long to enjoy our meal. The waiters never seemed to stop, constantly clearing tables and assisting customers with a smile. Their efficiency and dedication truly stood out. The Sparrowhawk is a pub, but with a fancier twist. It combines the cosy atmosphere of a pub with a touch of elegance, making it a perfect spot for a memorable dinner. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely pub with the friendliest staff. The decor is cosy with all the candles and fires. There are many different rooms all equally nice. They are dog friendly also which is a plus. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. The staff took the time to chat and made us feel so welcome. Rhianna who looked after us is a credit to this place. She made it such a lovely evening. However all the staff here are just so lovely and friendly. We would definitely recommend and will return. Thank you for a lovely evening.

My daughter recommended The Sparrowhawk as somewhere new for us to eat at and it was a great suggestion. My daughter had the pork and beef roast dinner, which looked amazing and came with all of the trimmings. I went for the burger and fries, which was great and really tasty and filling. Make sure you leave room for dessert though. I had the sticky toffee pudding and my daughter had the brownie. Both were generous portions. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back in the future.

we celebrated my 70th Birthday here and a thoroughly enjoyable experience it was for all 7 of us. Excellent choices available on the menus, friendly, helpful staff, open fires, and a very pleasant environment. The Sparrowhawk was very busy & as a result service was a little slow; food freshly cooked to a high standard. There's a small playground next to the car-park, including a tractor to sit, plus a 5 mile walk that visitors can take to build an appetite or to work off their meals. on Well worth a visit.

Me and my husband came for his birthday on Saturday. We had the garlic and chilli prawns and vetmenese ribs. They were both full of flavour and the ribs were tender 😋. We had the shoulder of lamb and the burger for our mains again, delicious, the burger was huge, and the lamb was melt in your mouth. The salad and veg was a nice size portion too. We had bread and butter pudding and the rhubarb and custard tart for desert. Amazing flavours and generous portions. Would recommend and would go again
