Called and made an order in less than 30 seconds. 10/10
My order was Keema rice, Chicken Madrass and a Keema Naan around £14.50
I arrived and it's very nice inside, modern, relaxed, staff were very friendly and approachable. Food was ready and waiting zero faffery. They also have small Chocolate on the counter for you, Orange flavour. Not my kind of Chocolate but an nice touch.
The portion sizes were very good, fairly priced. I would have liked a little more sauce but the flavour remained the same just nice to have a little more to help the spicy really coat everywhere. Container was not full but almost, Maybe for a good reason.
Well packed and got it back with no leaks. The only thing I would have really changed was the spice for a Madrass it wasn't very spicy to me. However the flavour was very good, the Naan was perfectly cooked nice and doughy not burnt on one side like some others. The chicken was succulent and flavourful. Rice was really nice too, not dry and also not overcooked.
I suspect they're catering to locals and well the UK doesn't really do spicy so maybe a vindaloo is my next order.
10/10 would recommend, I will be returning.
Maybe you could sell a container of sauce for a couple of...
Read moreReally disappointed. I live and work in the area and this place has been recommended by others. It is a bit pricey so thought I'd save it for a special occasion. My birthday being the perfect opportunity. However having worked in local curry houses myself for years I found the food just average and in our party of 9 most said their food arrived cold. I'll give the staff the benefit of the doubt and suggest they were trying to have a bit of banter with my family and friends but they just come across as rude most of the time using sarcasm everytime we asked for a clean plate or another glass of wine which of course they charged us for. The worse part of the evening was when we paid and the waiter said one of our £40 payments hadn't gone through and we still owed £40. Coincidentally it was the one printout he couldn't find but we found it screwed up on the floor confirming the payment did go through. Still gave them a small tip(we'd already worked it out) and the meal with drinks came to £380 for the 9 of us. We won't be going back any day soon especially as the excellent Hawley Kitchen is just as close but in the different...
Read moreWe visited recently in a large group, on arrival, half the table was ready, as everyone was arriving seperately, the first few were seated and then there was a bit of hassle when the other half turned up, because the table next door, which they was meant to be on, was occupied, this was resolved, but was poor table management nonetheless. Half of the people were sitting eating poppadoms, whilst the other half didn’t even have a seat. The service was a bit strange, it just seemed a bit of a free for all, one of the waitresses in particular seemed away with the fairies, a few times, she took drink orders, but never bothered with them, other times, she’d show up with drink orders that weren’t ours, but couldn’t quite grasp they wasn’t ours. The food was very good in all fairness, everyone enjoyed all of their dishes! The establishment itself, the floor can only be likened to an ice skating rink, I would love to know how many people slip over on a daily basis in there, the cameras could make a few quid off you’ve been framed for sure! Also one men’s toilet for a large-ish restaurant, doesn’t...
