I haven't been out to socialize for at least 4 years, so when I went to the chip shop at Newfield Green me, my scallops and mushy peas, not forgetting my magazines plus 2 pens sat under the tree, after about 10 mins 2 ladies plus a massive umbrella sat next to me and before I knew it I was being introduced to the customers and landlord of the Blackstock Pub I was given a glass of larger and blackcurrant a drink I hadn't had for well over 5 years, I wasn't allowed to pay 1 thing about the atmosphere there it was meant for all to enjoy and participate in, due to me being registered blind and disabled having osteoporosis is horrendous so being "legless" and trying to get home while at the same time looking as though compusmentis, hasn't been a state I ever want to be in , if I can trip and have a close encounter at the bottom of my stairs with Genghis Khan (my 2 stone concrete frog fyi a garden ornament) the chances of me getting home in 1 piece are so very slim. Hence the reason for me not drinking anymore. I'm invited to join them this afternoon for a game of bingo in the pub, I've also found myself a cleaner, more importantly I was welcomed like a long lost friend plus I was surprised to find out that most of them knew my dead partner Brian, small world. So come one and all bingo is up and running and paying, you have to win though. So I would like to say a big heartfelt Thank You to everyone in the Blackstock for making me feel like I belonged. Plus a big thanks to the landlord who bought me my...

Staff willing to help disabled customers but if using a wheelchair then no chance of getting inside without being carried inside so this is not on my list of disabled friendly pubs. Still love being here. I use a walker so Staff carry the walker inside and thanks to the staff who carry my walker up the steps I have no problem getting myself up the steps thanks to the...
