The food is delicious - I had Alu Parantha. I was brought up in Amritsar - India, and it is popular for its Alu Parantha. This place (Nashtaa) uses similar combination of spices to Amritsari style. For example, they used coriander seeds in the mixture which is a key ingredient to Alu Parantha. It was tasty - the flavours were well balanced. It had a hint of each key spice and it was quite flavourful. The other thing which I've learnt from this experience is that you don't really need huge amount of yougurt with Parantha. I know Punjabis usually ask for lot of yogurt with their Parantha, but this experience actually helped me to understand that small amount is better to engage with the flavours of spices than overpowering them with a dairy. They provided butter which added more taste to the paratha. I also had smoothie and it was great - nothing much to add to that. I had Karak Chai..this was the best Desi Chai I've had in the UK ..it reminded me of Haveli's (Punjab) special Cha ...the bill was around £12 for a very filling breakfast with smoothie and Cha. I also had a quick chat with the owner and they said the reason they had opened this up is to help people who struggle to find a place to socialise during the spare time between school runs. It's a brilliant idea indeed. I will definitely be returning for breakfast again.

Positives. Excellent ambience and atmosphere. The interior decoration is absolutely inviting. The service by the people was also up to the mark and nothing to complain about. Negatives. Somewhere beyond ambience, one of the most important reasons to go to a restaurant, would be to eat something. It might be my fault that I ordered something which may not be their speciality, although one of the menus did recomment chat as their speciality. 1. Chatpata Chaat. Essentially a dahi papdi chat, but made with nachos. The idea seems welcoming but the flavours are all over the place. Being spicy and having good flavours is very different from the an excess of the wrong flavours. 2. Panipuri (Golgappe). This is the first time in 20+ years of eating Panipuri that I refused to finish a plate and left it. (Image attached). The stuffing just has a very weird flavour to it. 3. Masala Chai. Again, the first time that I've left any form of Chai as undrinkable. (Image attached). I understand Tea is made with a variety of flavours. I usually enjoy every kind of Tea from Yorkshire Tea to English Breakfast Tea to Masala Adrak Chai to Karak Chai. I used to believe that Chai Tea Latte is the only form of Tea that doesn't do justice to the name. Funnily, even Masala Chai at this place was undrinkable. Absolutely disappointed from the food.

Stepping into Nashtaa is like entering a warm, inviting haven. The ambiance is truly exceptional; think soft lighting, comfortable plush seating, and a gentle buzz of conversation that creates a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease, perfect for a leisurely morning. Now, let's talk about the English breakfast. It's clear that they prioritize quality ingredients. The sausages are decent, the bacon is thick-cut and perfectly crisp, and the eggs are cooked to perfection and served with a single slice of sourdough bread. Every element of the breakfast is clearly made with care, and the ingredients are top-tier, but really pricey for the quantity (hence four stars). However, be prepared to pay a premium for this experience. The prices are significantly higher than your average cafe. While the quality justifies the cost to some extent, it's definitely a 'treat yourself' kind of breakfast. The channa bhature, was excellent and definitely worth the price. In summary: Pros: Exceptional ambiance. High-quality, delicious English breakfast. Excellent service. very high quality ingredients. Cons: Pricey. If you're looking for a special breakfast experience and don't mind the cost, 'Nashtaa' is definitely worth a visit. But if you're on a budget, you might want to look elsewhere

Nashta. What can I say? Delicious food. Served with a smile. Reasonable pricing. We had one channah bhatura plate and a veggie breakfast. Comfortable seating. Nice ambiance. Music selection not bad. The food arrived quickly. The masala beans spicing was perfect. Not overly spiced. The channeh were slightly spicy. No option available on spicing level on either dish that we’re aware of. Impressive menu. Something for everyone. Tempting to knock a star off the review but considering so much was right with our first visit it wouldn’t be fair. Why lose a star? We really wanted to try the Amritsar kulcha but were informed this was only available after 11:00 AM. This is not stated on the menu but might be a case of a chef arriving late etc. Would we visit again? Yes, it has passed the mum test. So we’ll bring our mum with us some time and I’m sure she will approve.

Update. After yesterday and not getting to try the kulcha we visited the following day. The kulcha. Nice but not special. Not the type you see in the food vlogs where they crush it in their hands. It has some crunch and layers to it but not a unique experience. The paper menu states kulcha with potato or onion but that’s not an option and you get both. The bhatura is better.

We also tried the masala beans and cheese toast as a side dish. You cannot go wrong with this simple yet scrumptious dish.

Drinks wise it was ginger tea this time around and it was really nice. Not too fiery but a nice kick to it.

Considering they were a little busy, I’m pleased to report there was no drop in service. Food still arrived in good time. Service was still friendly.

Third visit today. Disappointing. Booked a table. Arrived on time. After a 5 minute wait by the door we were seated with a bemused look of where to place us. A reservation surely means a table is guaranteed?

We were seated by the entrance. Every time the door opened cold air came in. We were forgotten for over half an hour. A waitress was flagged down and she apologised for being busy. The food arrived within 20 minutes. Some dishes were warm. Some were hot. The bill stated an item that we did not order and this was refunded.

It was kind of the owner to meet with us in person and apologise as well. Although, personally a discount should have been considered too. Or a goodwill gesture such as: “Your next cups of adrak chai are on us.”

Would we visit again? Not at a peak time. No way. Whether it is lack of staffing or too many customers, no one should endure poor service. A point to consider would be to advise customers at the door something a long the lines of: “We’re quite busy today and your order might take 20 minutes.” Or: “We can’t seat you for 30 minutes.”

Given this third visit was so frustrating. We’ve decided not to book an event for 20 people. If they cannot handle a full house then a side room event doesn’t sound like a good idea to us.

Hopefully, all points are taken on board and, they continue to thrive.

Parking can be a bit of a nightmare though. Would be good to know of additional parking when the hotel car park is full. Of course, customers shouldn’t have to pay for parking when the restaurant has caused significant delays. A special occasion today meant a good impression could not be made for our guest of honour.

Due to the poor service and being forgotten we received a £100 fine from parking eye for overstaying the quoted 75 minutes. We contested this...

A disappointing and time-consuming experience. Parking isn’t fantastic but luckily, there is some. We walked in and FOUR members of staff saw us standing there at the entrance but decided to finish their giggling conversation before one of them approached us. We were seated and left alone for 10 minutes before we had to ask for a menu. Imagine seating people in a restaurant without giving them the menu. This irritated us greatly. Ordered at 12:16, just one full English with scrambled eggs and one eggs on toast with one tea and one hot chocolate. They weren’t particularly busy either so it should have been a fairly straightforward process. Food came at 12:43. Nearly 30 minutes to make some simple breakfast items that a burger van could knock up in 7-10 minutes. Drinks came at 12:50. That’s right, no tea or anything until nearly 40 minutes after the order. Food was good, full English came with the equivalent of four eggs that were scrambled, a bit much and sourdough bread wasn’t toasted at all, more like it was left on the side to dry out a bit. When it came to the bill, we asked for it then immediately got up to pay at the bar because we had lost all hope of anything being actioned in a timely manner. What was meant to be a quick brunch, ended up taking double the time with a disappointing end. Decor is alright but let down by the details such as wonky chandeliers with mismatched bulbs. So much potential in this place let down by extremely poor customer service and what seems like an inefficient kitchen. Sadly, won’t return as an ordinary cafe...

My friends and I came to Nashtaa today and the lady there told us it would take around 5-10 minutes for the food to come. It took 6 parathas 30 minutes to come and we had to run back to work otherwise we would be even more late. We specifically told one of the staff we had to be back by 2.20 and she acknowledged this, but clearly didn’t bother or even warn us how long it would take for the food to come. One of my friend’s had also ordered chai and she herself had to go up to the counter (apparently she works at Nashtaa now) and ask them to give it to her, which was just simply pouring the ready made chai into the cup, even though at this point we’d been waiting for around 15 minutes. There was no bill/receipt given to us after we had paid. After this, my friend checked her bank statement to see how much she had been charged and we had been charged £1 extra (each of us). So all together, we had paid £40 just for six parathas which is honestly ridiculous. When we went to ask Nashtaa why we had been charged extra, they claimed it was a “service charge.” At no point when we were there did they mention a service charge. We have practically been scammed, this isn’t good customer service at all. We had each been charged a service charge just because my friend who ordered the chai had to go up just to get it as it was taking so long just to fill a cup up. We have been here before and we were never charged a service charge, only the price of the food. Please work on your customer service and train you’re staff better. However, food is...
