We returned whilst in the area having not been for at least 10 years when we remember it being the best Indian in the surrounding area (nearby villages incl. Cambridge).

That judgment still stands and the Indian Ocean is as fantastic as it previously was. Naturally, there’s an updated menu with all the standard curries but there’s a range of house specialities. I had the Goan Green curry which was superb. The chicken dhansak was good also, although a bit light on the lentils.

Service was good and the prices reasonable. It was nice to see all of the tables taken on a Saturday evening, which I don’t recall being the case 10 years ago so I’d recommend booking on popular evenings.

Indian Ocean Curry Restaurant delivers one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The flavors are rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced; every dish tastes freshly made and full of care. The chicken corma was perfectly creamy, the lamb curry tender and aromatic, and the naan was soft and warm, just the way it should be.

The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant — perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out.
