Fish and chips. It's a great British institution. Once a fortnight, I order 2 portions to take away so that my house-bound father can enjoy what diners take for granted. He's 94, so his assessment is backed by decades of experience. He ate fish and chips when there was no fish. It was called a bag of chips. He ate fish and chips when there were no chips.
