5 Stars – A Hidden Gem with Unmatched Charm
I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Midway Inn Pub, and I can honestly say it’s one of the most welcoming and enjoyable pubs I’ve ever stepped into. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles, a cozy atmosphere, and a true sense of community that’s hard to find these days.
The pub strikes the perfect balance between traditional charm and modern comfort. The décor is tasteful and inviting, with just enough character to make you feel like you’re part of something special. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about making every guest feel at home.
The drink selection is top-notch—plenty of well-kept ales, craft beers, wines, and spirits to satisfy any palate. The food is another highlight: hearty, flavorful, and made with care. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick pint or settling in for a full meal, you won’t be disappointed.
What really sets The Midway Inn apart, though, is the atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where locals and newcomers mingle easily, where live music nights and pub quizzes bring people together, and where every visit feels like catching up with old friends.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for great drinks, delicious food, and a genuinely welcoming pub experience. The Midway Inn is...

Ordered a prawn cocktail. It came out waterlogged and I only got as far as trying two prawns. They were totally rubbery and not chewable, so I left them on the side of the dish and moved the dish to the edge of the table nearest staff. The serving staff ignored the dish until we had left, despite them casting many glances towards it, as they were doing nothing. They clearly didn't want to ask.
Also ordered starter of nachos, instead of a main. Nachos arrived with about 10 strands of grated of cheese on them. Sour cream and guacamole were out of a tube. Didn't remotely taste like the real thing, and not appetising at all, so left two-thirds of those also. Ordered a pineapple fruity cider, received a watermelon cider. That was personal choice related but still not a fan.
I have no idea where the positive reviews come from based on our experience. As stated earlier, we were not given an opportunity to express our views as we have paid in advance. They just avoided us until we left. Definitely won't be back, which is a shame as we now live on the same road and could have been...

With Tyler at the helm, this pub is the Bermuda Triangle for worries; they disappear faster than your first round. The atmosphere is as buzzing as the bees in a honey factory, and the patrons are as lively as a cat on a hot tin roof. Tyler's dynamic charm infuses the place with more energy than a shaken soda can. The pints here are poured with more precision than a Swiss watch, leaving you in awe of both the craftsmanship and the camaraderie. It's the kind of place where your worries take a back seat and your laughter drives the night. So, grab a friend (or two) and head to the Midway for a deal so good, it's practically a steal—just like Tyler's...
