The customer service was extremely poor. We live locally in Higher Brixham, about 10 minutes from the Greenway ferry to Dittisham, we caught the ferry from Dittisham to Dartmouth and back, we got back at 3.30pm and went to the anchor stone cafe hopefully for hot drinks and a piece of cake. You have to ring for service, when the man came down and we asked if they had a table free, we were told quite forcefully that they ONLY allow tables for lunch meals, as it was 3.30 pm, it was definitely too late for lunch and too early for dinner, and I am sure that all the tables would not have been taken for meals at that time! He did say he could give us a takeaway coffee. Anyhow with that customer service, I will definitely not go there again, nor will I take any friends there in the future. So instead we had a drink at the Ferry Boat Inn before catching the ferry back...
Read moreGreat service and lovely food!! The fish, plaice and haddock we ordered were on a par with what we are used to, but then we are spoilt as we live near Padstow! The chocolate brownie was gorgeous!!
Very friendly staff, lovely views, and staff showing and maintaining good COVID procedures.

The only problem with this was it was our first meal out since restrictions have been lifted and unfortunately the eight other people in our covered area just loved talking loudly from one table to another which made me feel rather uncomfortable! Normally not a problem but at this present time in an enclosed area made me feel rather uneasy!!
Would certainly recommend the cafe though, can’t...
Read moreWe were lucky enough to get a walk in table for 3 at the bar seats, the restaurant was fully booked for lunch. We were very glad they could accommodate us, the menu is on the blackboards as you walk in. We got the haddock and chips, the red mullet caught our eye so we ordered that and half a pint of prawns. The food was fantastic, we highly recommend the red mullet - it was cooked perfectly and seasoned lightly. The haddock and chips was also great, though a touch on the expensive side. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for lunch. I'd recommend booking ahead if possible, it's very popular.
We also came back the following day and tried a few other dishes. We got the black bream, scallops, haddock and chips again and fresh oysters. All...
