I can only edit my review to answer. Its not really about the chips its about the people working there i do not expect to be spoken to like i was by anyone let alone someone who is benefitting from me bringing numerous people in. This is not the first time she as done it i have heard the lady being aggresive with other people. It was around 2 months ago on a trip to lowerstoft but google as just popped up asking me to rate your business. You can do whatever you like with your business and yes your right i can go where i like. My company as used you for years and i am the second of our drivers who as been at the end of the servers wicked tongue. If it was my business i would be making sure it didnt happen again and the lady serving would definitely be sacked or at least well away from customers but as i said you can do what you like I'm sure we are not the first and last company that won't be using you As a coach driver we used to bring 30 to 60 people in per trip. Maybe 10 to 15 times per year from my company. We came in and usually you give coach drivers a meal if they bring passengers in. The last time we came we said we were coach drivers. The girl then turned to a lady serving and said what do I do with coach drivers, the lady bounded over saying you don't get nothing in an irate voice. I was fine about not getting anything but her attitude stank she should not be anywhere near customers. We have since used another cafe. I and my colleagues will never use this cafe again so thats at least 500 people a year you've lost. If it was a man speaking to me like that I would have been straight across the counter. I will also be recommending that other coach drivers go elsewhere on our portal. I had never felt so be little in my life. And I still paid for a meal I was that hungry, a FARM cafe that serves frozen chips?...
Read moreArrived ready to get some food but needed the toilet first. I asked politely if I could use the toilets first and the response was "it is printed on the back of the receipt". The reaction and the tone of it persuaded me that this place wasn't worth spending my money.
Thankfully another customer gave me the code. If the response wasn't enough to convince me never to come here the decor and eclectic (but not in a good way) nature of the place certainly was.
I took a wonder through the farm shop on my way out which had some nice looking vegetables but I was rather perplexed by a strange gift/garden centre/toy shop bit in the middle where a selection of very dated toys had a thick layer of dust.
Being a little more welcoming would definitely have persuaded me to part with some cash. If only out of gratitude for their accommodation.
I'm sure the owner will respond to this much as they have the other poor reviews that mention the toilet, however I really wish they would consider the impact to the business of losing repeat customers due to their awkwardness about facilities.
It's a shame really because the site has a lot of potential. Maybe they will take the theme of the negative reviews, but the replies don't bode well.
Edit: I was right. You totally don't get it. You say "genuine customers". Anyone can be a genuine customer if you don't put them off with your stinking attitude, dated appearance, charity shop brica brac and signs made by a toddler. The decor in my home doesn't need to make people want to stay and spend money.
Keep listening to the good reviews though, that's definitely a way to improve...
Read moreVery poor attitude and manor of speaking to long standing customers
Very sad to be putting this review as been visiting here for the last 3 years with my family and introduced a lot of friends and others but today has completely changed my view and opinions of this place. We visited on our way home to get the kids some food we always know has been nice and good customer service, dog friendly, child friend ect HOWEVER the big built lady with bun on top of her head clearly doesn’t follow anyone else’s attitude or manor. We have a 13 week old puppy and was given a funny look as we entered but shown to a table. Our pup accidentally left an accident in the floor (despite a puppy nappy) which was cleaned immediately and apologised but was spoken to like absolute rubbish and as though it was us that had done it deliberately and told that both the puppy and ourselves had to leave. We was the only ones there. I appreciate that it’s not good or ideal but it was a puppy and no need what so ever for the attitude or manor in which we was spoken to it was disgusting. We was then left for a 2 hour journey with 2 very upset and hungry children. One with autism that has had a complete meltdown for somewhere he thought was a decent safe place to speak to us in that manor and then tell us we had to leave he can’t get his head around it.
Unfortunately will not be recommending to...
