I ordered on the app 2 iced drinks and 2 food items and when I arrived there was a sign on the door stating they aren't able to make iced drinks as the ice machine is broken. I was confused as my order had gone through on the app, and they should have turned iced drinks OFF on the app if they cannot make them. When I spoke to the employee they said the employee should be on their way back from buying ice from the shop and I said I would wait 5 minutes as I needed the toilet anyways. I waited 10 minutes for the employee to come and say that the person with the ice will not be back soon now as it ran out at the location they went. He also told me that they had now ran out of the food item I had ordered (meaning they either didnt want to tell me that in the first conversation, or they had since sold the last one that I had ALREADY payed for? either way is ridiculous and it should have been off the menu also.) So he ended the conversation saying hes going to ask his manager. We waited a further 10 minutes before the Manager coming out and basically tell me they cant help me and We have to "call them ourselves" I have now lost 20 minutes and £13 with both employees essentially throwing their hands in the air and saying well this is awkward we can't actually help you at all. They also had offered to make our ICED drinks without ice? One being a Frappe? Not sure how that meets Starbucks product standards. I am aware it isnt their fault the ice machine broke, but they have a responsibility to take sold out items off the menu on all ordering platforms. Clearly, they struggled with this as 75% of my order was not doable. My advice is to not have these things on the menu until you HAVE the ice ready. This was 21/7/24, with my order placed at 12:34pm, arriving to the shop at 12:40pm and only...
Read moreQuite frankly will be never be returning here again. Stopped here briefly on my route to Barnsley in dire need of a coffee, and to the best of my knowledge Starbucks was the place to go. However, my excitement was quickly dampened by the rude and unwelcoming staff i came to encounter. All i asked for was an iced coffee with caramel syrup, and yet i was greeted with a judgemental look by one of your staff, i believe his name was Josh. It took 12 minutes for this coffee to be made, (bare in mind there was only one other person waiting), and it tasted watered down with absolutely not a single drop of caramel syrup was present. After informing josh about my dismay, he responded a cold glare and apologised without a single ounce of compassion. Considering starbucks is known to be a chain with friendly staff and a welcoming environment, this was quite the opposite experience. Starbucks you have lost a customer, i suggest to others not to come here and i hope you don’t encounter the same incapable and rude staff...
Read moreFairly quiet when we passed through. Coffee is good, as you'd expect. Staff were sociable enough and in abundance. 10 Sep 24 During today's return visit we had a dog with us and sat just inside the door. Sadly we were informed that dogs are not allowed, but during our last visit we left the dog in the car only to see several dogs inside. The staff came across as a bit frustrated and embarrassed but nonetheless were very professional in passing on the guidelines, so we left a bit sooner than we'd have liked. It would be good to see notices at the entry stating the rules or, better still, provide an area where the dogs...
