KFC Gillingham - Norwich Road — Restaurant in South Norfolk

First and last time visiting. Only thing decent in the order was the burger. Chips were way over seasoned and barely edible, gravy was like water. Generally on a dine in order it comes on a tray, it was put in a bag and dumped on the table told there was no trays available... (they were on tables and on racks above bins waiting to be cleaned) no drink or straws. Asking for them felt like an inconvenience. Complained about the order and was basically told to put up and shut up and wouldnt even print a copy of my receipt the self service failed to print out. 2 members of staff were having an argument front of house which then continued on with the back of house team which just made the atmosphere awkward to be in.

General cleanliness was not good either, definitely havent had a cloth wiped over in a few hours, cutlery and condiments were non existent just empty pots and the toilets really needed attention which you would think was high priority with kitchen access for staff was in the same area.

Reading past posts on the way home seems a very cut and paste reply to reviews. It's about time things were taken more seriously and action properly put in to place. I've previously worked in the catering industry and this place is definitely not up to standard.

I now fully understand why the competitors across the road...

Went to the KFC at Gillingham on the Norwich Road. Asked for a large family feast bargain bucket, but stipulated that my children were Autistic and would not eat the drumsticks, so asked to replace the drumsticks with thighs or breasts instead. The female serving was very rude and told me that kfc do not carry enough stock, to replace the two pieces of chicken drumsticks with thighs or breast meat and said that they only carry drumsticks!! I said that Lowestoft, Norwich, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds KFC have no problem with changing the drumsticks, for thigh or breast meat, only to be called a liar!! You are supposed to get two pieces of breast, two thighs and two drumsticks, along with two large sides, four lots of fries and a large bottle of drink, in the family feast, but I was informed that they would only be using drumsticks in their family feast bargain buckets and I could either have that or order something else!! I chose to take my children and leave. Absolutely disgraceful attitude to have to a customer, especially when the children were present. I took the children to the next door McDonald's and received much better service. The kfc was empty when I went and was still empty when I drove past after eating at McDonald's. Hardly any wonder after customer service like that. Appalling service from KFC...

First time I've been to this KFC, and probably the last. Only went as my daughter had an offer for a mega gravy meal and I thought well I'm going through the drive through so I might as well get just a fillet burger. Simple you would think? Well it wasn't, as most reviews on here the place is a shambles from start to finish. Their was only 1 car in the drive through system so I thought it would be quick, wrong. Waited ages at the speaker to be served, not sure why? Waited ages a the service hatch, again not sure why when we only ordered 2 of the menu's basics. But still with an offer the bill came to nearly a tenner, at this point I am wishing I had stopped at the golden arches I had just driven passed. Anyway got the food and drove home only to find despite being billed for my basic small order I had the wrong order which was even more basic!!! I could maybe understand missing 1 item from a large order, but completely messing up a small order, what sort of people do they employ here? I got a small box of popcorn chicken and 2 small bags of these weird herbie fries and instead of a fillet burger I got a zinger burger!!! Take my advice and most of the others posting on here, avoid this place!!! PS, driving an average size car through the very tight drive through is a nightmare, let alone...
