bloody marvellous, just how pubs used to be. reasonable priced honest food and beer, lots of it 4+ real ales on tap. it was very busy on Sat 16th September, but had a nice friendly vibe

Called in last week for a midweek meal & drink, wasn’t disappointed, staff were friendly, as were the locals , food was good , howling wolf ale was even better

Good food.. Gravel car park. Comfortable surroundings with log fire. Loved their bangers and mash.

Ten of us had lunch here on Sunday to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. The building has some lovely features but sadly parts of it let it down like piles of fire wood stored in the dining room which would look a lot better in baskets, curtains that don’t meet in the dining room so we couldn’t close them to keep the sunshine out of our eyes and the curtains leading into an unused and neglected sunroom don’t fit properly so you have to view the unsightly room beyond it! But we have it five stars because the food was delicious and well presented and the staff were very friendly but I’m sure you could attract more diners if you had a bit...

The overall vibe of the pub I loved, the 2 bikes as you come in through the door were incredibly cool. But I need to rave about the food because it was AMAZING. I had the buttermilk chicken burger and it was probably the best chicken burger I've had, and I'm not going to lie, I love food pats belly the seasoning, the coleslaw on the side and the chips were so so good. My other half had their Christmas pizza special dish which I'm not too fussed about but even he was incredibly pleased with his order. Staff were friendly and lovely. 1000/10! Would definitely come back if we're this way...

I entered Crossways late in the day, 4PM, and was able to order from a full menu. I opted for sausage and mash. Was I glad that I did. After a long walk, it was a most satisfying meal. The three sausages were very tasty and beautifully cooked. The mash was delicious and creamy. The petit pois soft and tender. All served with a delicious onion gravy which I suspect was made with shallots judging by the subtle flavour. Service was first class, with a smile. An excellent experience all round. Will certainly eat there often...
