Ca' Del Console Prosecco Extra Dry
Italy | a classic prosecco with aromas of white peach, pear and flowers. The palate is fresh, not too dry, and clean as a whistle all the way through to the sparkling finish.
Charles De Fere Blanc De Blancs Reserve
France | pale golden colour, with fresh, fruity aromas of nectarine, melon and citrus. Elegant in the mouth, with fine bubbles, good complexity and a long, crisp finish.
Champagne Laurent-Perrier
France | well defined, subtly rounded with expressive flavours. The fruit progressively emerges to reveal a finely balanced champagne displaying great length on the finish.
Candidato Viura La Mancha
Spain | on the nose there are fruity notes of green apples, grapefruit and quince as well as strong floral notes. Silky and smooth on the palate with well-balanced flavours and a long finish.
Morande Pionero Sauvignon Blanc Reserva
Chile | an exceptional sauvignon blanc with really vivid aromas of grapefruit, peach and herbs. The palate is juicy and full of flavour, yet dry and refreshing to finish.

We visited with friends after reading the positive reviews and I can’t understand how our experience differs so much from the reviews on TA. It’s been a long while since I’ve had such bad food. ||The starter of Falafel was dry and the main of chicken burger was almost inedible. The plate was full of deep fried dry chicken, dry bread bun, salad and coleslaw but none of it was good. This pub needs to stop the massive potions and serve fresh cooked food that is flavoursome rather than deep fried pre prepared. My husband had the pie which was heated meat filling served in a dish with a puff pastry warmed lid placed onto the dish. It definitely wasn’t a pie! When he asked the waiter if it could be served with mash instead of chips the waiter responded that was probably too much to ask of the kitchen staff as they were busy. ||It’s been years since we were last at The Perch even though we only live a couple of miles away - it will be years before we consider visiting again. There are much better places to eat and drink in this...

Stuck for something to do & see, we stopped off here for a quick drink & ended up staying for lunch. We couldn't find fault with anything. The service was quick, attentive & pleasant. There were several places to eat throughout & the restaurant itself is large, clean, bright & airy; it’s nicely sectioned for privacy & comfort. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food & presentation which also arrived very quickly. The waitress, owner & chef paid good attention to detail & asked several times if everything was OK. The food was reasonably priced. It is a lovely Inn to eat, drink or stay in (we can’t comment on the accommodation). It has a large car park & plenty of tables out side to enjoy the...

We based ourselves at The Perch and Pike for a three night mini break. We were warmly welcomed by Linda and Jamie and their friendly efficient team (and a flask of fresh milk and jar of homemade shortbread in our room).||We had a most comfortable stay with excellent dinners and scrumptious breakfasts as well as the picnic lunch they kindly prepared for us. Jamie gave us ample warning that the kitchen was closed on the Saturday night for live music and food. It was a perfect evening for relaxing with a pint or two in the lovely garden enjoying the music and delicious baps (especially the rare beef) and meeting the local regulars.||We are booked to return in...

Stayed overnight at short notice. Supper was great and the staff and service were friendly. Pub is dog friendly and even allow dogs overnight in the rooms. Just as well as the boy got a bit over excited in the bar whilst I was having my supper and allowed me to eat in my room. The ham, egg and chips were excellent as was the salt and pepper squid starter. There's a Nespresso machine in the room although it didn't seem to work in the same way as my own. A nice bed and the boy and I overslept. Lovely little village location too. It was the first time I can recall visiting the village although I must have driven past the entrance frequently.

Stopped for lunch here today. And it was very delicious! Super pork medallions in apple sauce for me and my husband enjoyed his feta and watermelon salad. And as for the puddings - really scrummy - cheesecake and Eton mess. It was good to get an americano coffee in a large cup, so many places serve them in cups so small you get about two mouthfuls! The staff who served us were helpful and friendly. Thank you to everyone.

Long wait for food, took an hour and half between courses, wrong food was delivered caused extra wait, fish overcooked and oily, over seasoned very salty, tomato fondu was basically canned tomato on the plate! Over priced items, waiter very very nice and friendly and apologetic, unfortunately he was let down by kitchen and lack of supporting team
