I had a late lunch in The Red Lion this lunchtime. First time I had been in the pub in 5 years but with new management and hearing great things since the new owners took over I was keen to give it a try. Bar staff were very welcoming to me and my Cavapoo. Lovely friendly atmosphere and spotlessly clean. I ordered a scampi, fries and peas. It was delicious and too much for me to finish it. I will definitely be back soon with the family šŸ‘šŸ¼

Lovely pub nestled in the village of Woodcote. The food is delicious and great value including kids meals. The service behind the bar and by our waitress was spot on. Great pint of Guinness - good lines sir. Locals have an oaky beaut here. I travelled from Reading and if you do the same i recommend going through Pangbourne and Whitchurch Hill - proper Berkshire/Oxfordshire country drive. Great British pub!

Nat & Dan have absolutely transformed this pub for the better and had such a positive effect on the village. A welcoming, family (and dog) friendly pub was sadly lacking in Woodcote for too long. It’s cosy, clean and comfortable. Great choice of drinks and lovely varied menu which offers more than just standard ā€˜pub grub’ or bar food. Serving breakfasts on Fridays and Saturdays is a brilliant addition.

This was the pub me & my partner 1st met. We have popped in on odd occasions for a little drink just purely for this reason. As, I have never found the Landlord to be particularly hospitable (for a landlord), and today was incredibly rude to us and friend who was also with us. We sitting in so called pub gdn, with its run down looks and broken furniture and the landlord came and abruptly shut the back door on us, completely ignoring my partner who was trying to politely speak to him. I'd compare him to 'Basil Fawlty' in rudeness. ! Hence to say, will...

I went to The Red Lion today for the first time. I’ve lived in Woodcote for 18 months but hadn’t been due to its reputation. Oh my! How grateful I am for the change - I ordered the sausage and mash (no meant feat with a dairy allergy) it’s was the best I’ve ever had. The gravy was to die for - Dan explained the love, care and time that goes into it and you can taste it. The service was amazing. Proud to call it my local pub. Will...
