My partner Booked a table for 6 on 1st may for Saturday 10th may at 7 pm. Meal was for 6 of which 3 were celebrating birthdays . Turned up at 6.50 to be told there was "NO FOOD. "Had sold out out of chicken & chips . We Didn't book table for chicken or chips. This is supposedly a pub that serves food and has more on the menu than chicken & chips so it wouldn't of been a problem to us we could of ordered something else off the menu. "NO WE HAVE NO FOOD AT ALL" But we booked a table "WE DIDN'T HAVE A BOOKING AND IF WE HAD WE WOULD IF NADE SURE WE HAD FOOD. WE RAN OUT OF CHICKEN & CHIPS 15 MINUTES AGO AND WE WOULD OF RUNG YOU IF WE HAD YOUR NUMBER. WOULD OF TO LET YOU KNOW". What a complete lie We had the booking confirmation The email confirmation and an email the day before checking we were still going. The booking also had contact number . Also a pub serving food runs out of ALL food on Saturday before 7pm!!? Celebrations ruined Thank you to the boars head in hoghton who bent over backwards to get us a table and provide a fantastic service The oak lost £300.00 from what we ate & drank & the staff lost £20 tip Would never ever go to the oak again and would just advise that you may book a table, turn up and they'll be no food. Absolute shambles.

First, and not my last visit... The young lady behind the bar (Monday 5th June) was spot on, answered all my questions as a new visitor with a smile... 🙂 Had the veggie burger, very good, onion ring side (great too have them not dripping in oil and crunchy batter )... Spot on pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord... Only moan is that I had no change and wanted too leave a tip on card, nope, brewertly/owners don't allow it, I felt bad, but will make up for it on next visit... 🙂

Great pub just what we were looking for, a short walk from Red Rocks Caravan Park. A good selection of beers and lagers. The food menu looked good and people who were dining clearly were regulars, always a good sign can't comment as we didn't dine. Service was excellent warlm welcome from the young man behind the bar.

After visiting San Lorenzo for a Mother’s Day meal, with a party of 14, the experience was very disappointing. There was a set menu with it being Mother’s Day, which only had four choices of main meals which did not have a great variety. One adult of the party did not like anything on this set menu, and asked if they could simply have a Margherita pizza in replacement; happy to pay for this. We was advised that only children could have the choice of pizza or pasta. Therefore, as we were already sat down there was no choice but for that person to order something they did not like. Although the young members of staff were always polite, they had very little understanding of the menu and whenever questions were asked they had to keep reporting to their manager to find the answers. Even then, we were told incorrect information. We asked if a chocolate fudge cake was available with custard, the young waitress confirmed it was available after speaking with her manager, to then come back and inform the party after desserts had been ordered that there was no custard. For starters, two members of our party ordered the pâté, this was however more like a mousse. Although this got sent back uneaten there was no discount on the final bill. I have noticed on previous reviews that the owner’s response to an unhappy customer was to infact stay at home. I wish my party had seen this response before we decided to spend our Mother’s Day at San Lorenzo, as we most certainly would not have visited. I can confidently say members of my party will not be returning to San Lorenzo in the...

If I could give it zero stars I would. Nice decor, but the staff were just stood around doing nothing and the owners are clueless as they come. We came and accepted the fact that we couldn’t sit in the restaurant and sat in the pub area. We ordered our meal at 7pm ( a starter, main and a dessert). It got to 7:55 and still no sign of the starter, I then went to go ask where our starter was and said they were bringing the starter with the main meal????? I mean any person with common sense would want there starter to START with. The starter came and it was below substandard but decided to give it a chance. 30 mins later, the main decided to turn up. We were all shocked with the standard they think is acceptable to serve to customers. It was disgusting. It was far below substandard and not even hot. We called a lady over (who was nice and understanding) who brought over the owners. She cannot take (helpful) critism one bit. She was so defensive it was scary. The meals was frozen but she said they were par boiled, which they weren’t. And the portion sizes were below a kids size. The restaurant was not busy, which she claimed it was, which is no excuse for waiting an hour for a starter. She apologised once but eventually walked off when we finally declined the food and said we were not eating it. So unprofessional for a new business wanting to compete. We were disgusted by the behaviour. Staff are nice and friendly, but the owners are not. Would not eat here again and would not be shocked if the place is bordered up in a month unless...

Went there on Saturday 17th February with a party of 5. Things didn't get off to a great start. We were shown to our table on arrival, and then left for 20 minutes without menus or a drink. The table was clean in appearance but very sticky. After attracting the attention of the only waitress working, we ordered drinks which when delivered to the table, 1 of the drinks had 5 flies in it. This was the only drink with a slice of lemon in it, so I'm assuming the flies were on the fruit. After placing the food orders, when the food was brought, they had missed off one of the starters ordered. By the time this came, the other 4 had virtually finished. Nobody in the party was particularly impressed with the food. The mushrooms starter were nice, I thought the garlic prawns were nice but expensive at £8.50 for 5. I thought they were nice. 90 minutes later, my stomach disagreed. The comments about the mains: 2x sam Lorenzo pizzas. 1 ok, 1 had a soggy base. 1 lasagne. Ok but a bit bland 1 cacciatore pollo. Nice, but it came with no sides of anything so was just a chicken fillet under a lot of sauce and nothing else. 1 spag bol which was too rich and sickly.

That's twice I've tried the restaurant, the first time was better than this. On tonight's showing, we wouldn't...
