My friend Hilary and I are regular visitors to Cyril’s usually for their top notch breakfasts and a proper pot of tea, but seeing as their Festive Afternoon Tea and Sharing Platter had been added to the menu, we thought it would be rude not to partake. We had the sharing platter which was made up of plentiful amounts of Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwiches, prawn cocktail, sausage rolls, pork pie, scotch eggs, and we had sultana scones with jam and clotted cream, instead of a cheese scone, plus a couple of big pots of tea. It was all as usual freshly made, totally yummy and served by a really friendly young lady…I should have asked her name, sorry. If you’re in the area and in need of some sustainance, wether it be breakfast, lunch or or just tea and cake pay Cyril’s a visit…you will not be...

I love to go to Cyrils tearoom, the decor, atmosphere and lovely staff are a wonderful bonus to the great food options for me who is gluten free too. I love the vintage vibe with the pretty teapots and cups and the great 60s background music. I recommend this lovely cafe to everyone. It is a great place for breakfast or lunch. They do afternoon tea too. Today's build your own salad was really good I added roast potatoes as I was hungry but couldn't finish them as the salad was substantial enough . As a side note I have to say it is so nice that the place smells good. Theres no deep fat fryer which can smell strong in a cafe. I really appreciate this as I have sensory issues. Thanks to Claire and the team. Keep up...

Called in here for the first time whilst in the area for some light lunch (Sunday). We were quickly shown a table by a very nice member of staff who served us throughout. My wife, daughter and I had a nice omelette each and hot drinks. Service was lovely. It’s a cosy, friendly place, it was a tad too hot for me if I’m honest, it could have done with a little ventilation as the cooking area is just partly segregated off the main dining area. A lovely stop off never the less. The garden centre that it’s part of is quite big & seemed to stock a very good range of healthy looking plants. There’s a small toilet block outside just off...

Breakfast was great, all cooked well & tasty but a little expensive for what it was. Over £10 each for 1 x sausage, 1 x slice of bacon, 1 x egg, 1 x tomato from a tin, mushrooms, beans & toast but to be fair, it did include a drink. If it was around the £8 mark I would come back but there are much better breakfasts for the price out there. Not keen on the decor, rather than quirky it just felt a bit dated & mis-matched. Not my cup of tea but food was lovely & the cakes looked delicious. I bet they do a fab afternoon tea.
