The Littleton Arms — Restaurant in South Staffordshire

Me my partner and my sister came into this establishment. Upon arrival the bar was very full. My sister (pregnant) went to the toilet straight away myself and my boyfriend were asked to leave as it was closed to a funeral which was completely understandable. After leaving I called and politely asked that if it’s closed to a private event that a sign should be placed outside stating this ( I walked in wearing bright yellow ) the man on the phone apologised and seemed to understand l… however after about 10 minutes a lady phoned me back asking who I thought I was talking to and commented on the disrespectful way I spoke to (a female) member of staff over the phone. I was only in there for a few minutes but I've never felt more unweclcomed at an establishment, I was looking to eat out with my Partner and as soon as we stepped foot in the place all of the customers just stared right at us. I'm not being overdramatic about 20 odd people burning a hole in the back of my head and of course passing remarks as we walked past and through the pub trying to find a place to sit down to order. I can't say anything about the food or drink (Hence why I left 3 stars, I can't say something is bad without trying it additionally we weren't in there long enough to try it). I've driven passed this place many times and to my mind it doesn't look very 'appetising' so have never visited until now. It was only because someone we trusted had eaten here and said it was ok that we decided to give it a go. The food was good, served hot and on clean plates, and the portion sizes were generous. The tables were sticky and the seating well used. Prices and service were acceptable. I think this place is aiming for the economy family market in which it is succeeding. This isn't a place for a romantic evening or to take someone there to impress. Overall though it appears to be catering for the needs of locals. Well worth an...
