New Mill inn South Shields — Restaurant in South Tyneside

Warning for all people who get queasy easily, not a good place at all.

Guess everyone has different tastes I had been told the place had a bad reputation but still gave it a chance, my mistake.

At least they have entertainment and games such as music you can choose from the juke system, a pool table, mini casino machine and darts to distract customers from the horrible food.

Was told nothing was in on a saturday I honestly believe they just didn't bother. The better question to ask would have been "What DO you have?"

All of us ended up sick from it, too much grease, the breaded garlic mushrooms were leaking out and the chips had a bad aftertaste as if the grease hadn't been replaced in months.

Honestly not a good idea for eating, and pricey to top it all off. Even McDonald's would've been better. In fact, home cooking is 100...

Visited on a bicycle pub crawl, Barry seemed very nice but his son was very upset and said he couldn't handle it, unnamed person could live their life how they pleased but Barry's son just couldn't accept it and became upset, some dainty females came outside to smoke tobacco and began to sing in a fashion we were not accustomed to with one asking for a cigarette whilst making suggestive moaning noises at which point we mounted our bicycles and left via the carpark fearing for our lives, other than this the beer was reasonably priced and the toilets smelt clean, would revisit, just not on a Thursday. Had a wake for my dearly departed sister today, we paid for a buffet and I want to mention it was absolutely fabulous, food mega fresh 100% spot on, excellent sectioned area for the function, brilliant prices for drinks, staff professional attitude and just fantastic location for such an occasion.
