Park Road Cafe — Restaurant in St Helens

I wouldn’t suggest working here I went in for a trail shift, they then made me come back for another one, hired me and 2 weeks later started being very rude towards me, tell me to do something and I’ll do it then the next day I get told I’m doing it wrong when the manager told me to do it that way, the communication in this cafe is ridiculous then you get it in the neck about it all, if you do something you get told off if you don’t you get told off, find another cafe because this isn’t the one. On the day they told me it’s not working out I was planning on leaving anyway I was just waiting to get my wages, kept me behind 30 minutes which I should of got paid for, but my last pay I got paid short and only realised once I left, horrible place!!! This review is on behalf of my Mum and her friends. They visited last Thursday, waited 20 minutes and no staff came to take their order, had to ask staff if someone was taking orders, they then waited another 10 minutes before their order was taken, they were then told it was a 30 minute wait for food even though cafe was not full. A few people who arrived after them were served and received thier meals first. Food arrived and was of a poor standard, warmed up brown chips and rubbery ham on one meal. It appears as mentioned on other reviews that staff seem to serve regulars before anyone else, and this cafe is living on past reputations. Visited this cafe on numerous occasions and food was lovely, standards have certainly declined, and there are better cafes than this...
