We were greeted with a very unfriendly “Have you booked” All 4 of us felt like she was just ready to say go away we have no room!

My chips were cold!! By the time fresh ones came I had half an over cooked burger left!!

My burger was cooked to death!! Horrid!! Hardly any cheese on it!!

My wife’s southern fried hunters chicken was burnt and tasted burnt!! And was very rough and rubbery to eat as it was very over cooked! Some real lame excuse was offered to my wife about all the burnt bits left on her plate!!

You have now changed from a 2 for 1 BUT we were not told about this!! However the portions were still on a 2 for 1 bases!! Our food took over an hour to get to us!! No excuse or reason was offered!!

I was a chef for 25 years!! I’d never ever let any of my chefs serve that rubbish!! As I say everything was still like it was when it was 2 for 1 except the bill!!! I am super embarrassed, as it was me that suggested we go there!!! They asked me when I paid, not before, if everything was OK, “I don’t want the conversation, just take the money please. I was asked again, I gave the same reply. Surly, as i walked away from the till, someone should have got the manger to come over and see me??!! We will not comeback. I’m super embarrassed. Not happy at all..

When speaking with staff members about Saturday evening we are under the impression that one of the staff members did come round to you check if everything was okay and that’s when they changed the fries, LIARS!!! THE CHIPS WERE TAKEN AWAY BY THE SAME GIRL WHO LEFT THEM! NO APOLOGY FOR SERVING COLD CHIPS NEEDS TO BE NOTED BY EVERYONE READING! Which were then done fresh. We also believe that the same staff member came round when they were notified about the hunters to check on you and ask if you wanted anything else. LIARS! THIS CONVERSATION HAPPENED AT THE END OF THE MEAL! WHEN THE TABLE WAS CLEARED WHILST ONE OF OUR PARTY WAS STILL EATING! AGAIN NO APOLOGY FOR THIS SHOCKINGLY POOR SERVICE NEEDS TO BE NOTED BY ALL READING! We would also like to add that when you came up to the bar to pay your tab from what had been witnessed you weren’t very pleasant to the young girl who was quite upset with way you spoke to her and one of the supervisors which was relayed back when in the discussion with the team. (VERY BADLY STRUCTURED SENTENCE! HOW LONG!?) LIARS! THE CONVERSATION WENT JUST EXACTLY AS I SAID IT WENT! I WAS NEITHER PLEASANT NOR RUDE! WAS EVERYTHING OK WAS ASKED. Chetwynd had been recommended to us by some friends. We decided to go for a birthday meal for a friend. There were 8 of us and the table was square and very crowded/small. The waitress we had was very miserable and a smile wouldn't have gone a miss. We were then asked for our order, and not one but two meals requested they did not have the food in stock for these meals. Firstly a mixed grill, they had no steak for this. Secondly we asked if all the specials were available to which we were told yes, then went to order off that menu and were told that the chicken chorizo meal was then unavailable. We then decided to order something else. The wait time was OK, but it was pretty obvious the reason for this, as majority of meals were microwaved, rubbery, overcooked meats. The chicken breast was tough, and very chewy. The half rack of ribs were a very minute portion, 3 mini ribs infact. The burger meals stated they come with chips, this was not the case and three burger meals arrived with rock hard skinny fries. All meals arrived with very small button mushrooms all 3-4 of them, this was not stated on the menu, and we had someone there with an allergy to mushrooms. We also ordered halloumi fries off the extras, and they were infact breaded mozzarella sticks. This was very disappointing and we shall not be returning, all 8 of us were annoyed and left without even adding desserts because the meals were such a mess there was no point in staying around to find out how awful they may have been. We then went to pay, after we had requested 3 different tabs, this was not done and turned out to be a shambles when working out meals and drinks for each individual. Came here with my mom for a lunch meal, new menu isn’t as good as previous. Prices i personally think are expensive for the portion size you get. We were seated pretty much as soon as we walked in and ordered drinks. These came quickly. Then we ordered some food. The wait for food was roughly 30 mins My mom had fish and chips and was asked if she would like mushy or garden peas, to which she said mushy, when the meal arrived it came with garden peas. I had burger and chips (fries) which were cold. My mom has the special where she could have a smaller plate meal with a dessert for an extra £2.50. I would have liked this but there wasn’t a burger choice meal with this offer so went with a normal size plate which cost £12 roughly, however when the food arrived there was no difference in the portion size, where i was expecting mine to be bigger as i had not opted for the smaller appetite plate. I could have had a burger and fries from mcdonalds with a drink for half the price i paid here and there wouldn’t have been much difference at all in the portion size. We were not asked until i went to pay the bill if everything was okay. I did state the chips were cold and that my mom asked for mushy not garden peas. The member of staff just said sorry to hear that and proceeded to put the amount i owed in the card reader.
