We'd been warned and heard rumours about this pub, since moving to the local area and now we understand why. The room went quiet as soon as we walked in, with everyone turning to look at you. It felt very icy and unwelcoming. The pub has very odd decor, that is dated and that's fine but it has no theme or reasoning. It's like the trinkets in someone's house, as if they've done that to make it welcoming but it has the opposite effect. We quickly ordered drinks and took them outside out of the way. The beer garden is very spacious, lots of space for children to run around. Outside, they have animals, from chickens, to rabbits and a pig. They all look cramped and I don't know how that many animals can all be well looked after. We found all of this absurd and won't be returning. We will find somewhere...

Read moreThis pub has an unique atmosphere. I spent there a very happy Friday night, one of the best on a long time. I went there with my wife as she was doing a belly dance charity event in the pub. Initially had a few good drinks and enjoyed the garden. The pub is big and has several rooms. After the event we went to the Karaoke/dance room where we spent the rest of the night dancing like mad and singing along the tunes we knew. Deb, the owner is the spirit of the place, super friendly and excellent on the karaoke too. I will surely come back...
