I went to the wool pack in Weston on Thursday late afternoon around 5pm as my partner and l fancied a steak and have been here before and know how good they are. We invited some friends to come along with use and they have never been here before, and I couldnāt praise the meals are lovely we all ordered steak as it was a steak night we all started our meals commented how lovely they were. As l carried on eating my meal I became very aware that my steak wasnāt tasting very nice I swallowed one piece and went to cut another piece and I thought this wasnāt right. I gave my partner a taste and he he spat it out straight away. It tasted like chemicals have been poured all over it. I complained and the meal went back and they brought another meal out for me, even though it was another piece of steak there was signs of this chemical which was on it Manager , she took it away and she tried it and said there was a taste and that she would send the piece off to be analysed. after eating the first little bit steak, my tongue was tingling so I know there is something really wrong with it. The management tried to connect to deny everything and we werenāt very happy with the service would offered any put in or extra drinks. Yes they took they didnāt charge me for the two meals which I didnāt eat beside the poetic couldāve been handled differently and asked yet I just donāt know what was on it . I work in a pub and a hotel with a restaurant. Iāve spoken to the chefs here and itās more unlikely it could be degreaser that is on it. The taste was absolutely awful and I felt sick and had to run to be sick whilst I was still at the pub. The management team there turned round and said the stake and chucked away. One said it had been was going to be analysed, so which is it not happy with the service and made to feel like it was all our fault, ruined the meal for my friends and I very bad service Service. Iām 57 years old and I knew a difference between something that shouldnāt be on a piece of food. Iāve worked in kitchens before Iām just not going to let this go. Iāve eaten something that should not of been there to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell well well, I donāt know what to say. The Woolpack is an absolutely fantastic pub in which is a place to bring the family and friends together and enjoy the little moments.
The atmosphere of the inside was beautiful. It gave off that old type of cottage/barn affect which really stood out to me and members of my family. As so did the outside. Covered in many colourful flowers and beautiful Willow trees.
Also staff were brilliant, helpful and extremely kind all throughout my experience being there.
The mains where out of this world. So beautifully presented and every piece was perfect positioned! I had ordered the 8oz Gammon with a Fried egg, Pineapple, Chips, Tomatoās and Garden peas. (I had asked if I could have Onion rings instead of the Tomatoās and Peas and the staff where more then welcome to help)
For my Dessert I had ordered the Apple Crumble with Vanilla Ice cream. It was delicious but I have one thing iād like to say about it. Me, personally I would have preferred the top layer of my apple crumble to be crumble mix instead of oats. I fully understand and agree that this is the healthier option, but personally i would have enjoyed it more with the crumble mix.
Other then that this is a brilliant place to come with family and friends for a meal and a drink out.
100% recommend āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø
