After waiting for weeks for the Sangam III to reopen after their staffing issues, (make of that what you will) I attended the reopening with a certain degree of excitement.
Whilst it was great to see the old faces (less a few..?) It's probably best to say that they clearly opened before they should have. They were offering a cut down menu - which was fair enough - that took 40 minutes to arrive. Add on the fact it took them 15 minutes to even serve us, (one of the 4 sets of people who were there), you have to say the service left a lot to he desired. Final nail was when I had to go to draw money out of an ATM machine because they weren't able to accept card transactions. Come on guys...really!?!
I've also checked the new menu. It's not the same one that is still on their website, and represents a considerable upgrade in price. 20% - 25%.
There's plenty of decent competition out there. I'm disappointed with the relaunch and the pricing on the new menu. I genuinely sad to say I won't be hurrying back.
Updated - Pleased to say after about 6 months my family and I revisited the Sangam III and found things had improved significantly. The menu gas been revamped and the food serves was much better, and is better than most of the restaurants competition. The service was good, but not excellent, but nothing to complain about. The only issue would be the price. The food is good, but it is quite costly.
All said and done though. Happy to report, we will be going back to the Sangam in the future. Just maybe...
Read moreCame here for my partners birthday, I'm sorry but the issue we had was not dealt with professionally, my sister inlaw stated she wasn't happy with her main meal which was lamb, after explaining to the manager she wasn't happy with her food he then ask could he examine the meat which was full of fat and gristle which was present in the meat. Unfortunately he said no body else had complained, this is just typical of the response you get. I always like to point out if something is wrong with food, and let's be honest why wouldn't you? Sorry Tarik but your attitude was not professional, clearly disappointing and then a service charge also added to the bill. The manager needs to address complaints in a professional manner. We spent just under £200 for 4 of us which is a lot of money. Very Dissatisfied with the way the complaint was handled. We use to visit here on regular basis for family birthday ect but after this I can't see us returning 😕your costumers should be your priority, certainly not on this occasion 👎also overcharged...
Read moreThe interior of the restaurant is really nice and was greeted with a smile by the staff. Very friendly and we were given few minutes to select a drink and then once our drinks had came, we were asked promptly for our food orders. The food itself is very nice, we shared a starter which was lovely and both had different main meals. The tikka masala is nice but does need more flavour in my opinion (I always think a more red and rich masala is super tasty but appreciate every chef does it differently). My partners main meal which has paneer is was lovely. They add 10% service charge onto the bill which many places do these days which I don’t mind at all (as long as they give good service).
All in all a great place to enjoy some nice food and great service, we will definitely return...
