Iâve only had good experiences at Espresso Farm previously until today, when I waited over 20 minutes to order a take-away drink and had to eventually leave without ordering. It appeared that there was only 1 member of staff who was taking orders, preparing drinks and preparing all the food. I understand that emergencies happen and I suspect someone may have not shown up for a shift. This is in no way a critique towards the staff member on shift, as she was trying to do her best managing on her own and it was clear people in front of me have ordered a lot of food, which contributed to the wait. However, I hope that Espresso Farm can take my feedback on board and ensure thereâs enough staff on shift in the future, as it feels unacceptable for one person to be responsible for so many tasks. I also found it strange that orders were treated one at a time and completed in full before the next person was able to order. I feel that everyone may have had a better experience if drink orders were collected and completed first, whilst advising that there may be a wait for food. This may have prevented me walking out without a drink, having wasted over half an hour of my time, and reluctant to come back...

Chai latte & Cappuccinos were good, the Halloumi & Sweet Chilli Bun real tasty, as was the Sour Dough & Avo Toast. My guess is the Cinnamon Roll was a little old as it was quite dry & not great.
(Couldnât help thinking the Halloumi Bun (ÂŁ7) & Cinnabon was a bit pricey, especially as theyâre so tiny & are served in paper pkts, so no expense of plates & cutlery to be washed. Also asked for some butter & was given cheap nasty margarine - come on guys youâre on a farm đ©).
Given environmental awareness would like to suggest separate bins for recycling, especially as much of the wrapping & cups are recyclable, yet rubbish is all thrown in together.
This is a real hidden gem of a destination which actually has camping too, in the most idyllic of settings - a must stop, especially for families. Next to the cafe is a pizza restaurant which weâd love to try if...
Read moreWe were staying at the campsite next door and had unfortunately forgotten to bring any bread. While we could have made do, our young daughter has sensory difficulties and is very particular about food, so we needed some. Earlier in the day, we had used the café and purchased drinks, so later we returned to ask if we could buy a few slices of bread.
The staff were polite and offered either 2 or 4 slices, and I opted for 4. However, I was very surprised to be charged ÂŁ5.90 for just four slices. I completely understand that businesses need to make money, and I was more than happy to pay something, but I had hoped for a little more understanding given the situation.
It left me feeling quite disappointed. A small gesture of kindness would have made a huge difference to...
