We walked the Greenway from a similar cafe at the other end, and this rather impacts our review. Milcote was tired in comparison, the decor uninspiring, and the cakes were pretty miserable. The coffee is mediocre. The staff were at first a little unhelpful and in a rush to close up (even stating the toilets were out of order when they weren’t just to hurry this) but they did warm up and start to really take care of us. The owners are actually the main asset to this cafe and I wish them luck. It still makes an ideal day out to have the two carriage cafes 2 miles apart and I recommend showing both your custom to keep these independent businesses here for many years to come.

Fantastic little spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We took my railway mad father to eat here and we all enjoyed venturing out of busy Stratford to eat here. It was relatively busy with many tables occupied however the service was still sharp and with a smile. Was very impressed with the range on the menu and the size of the portions…my son’s sausage bap was almost the size of his head with four sausages inside. My avocado on toast with bacon and egg was also well cooked and not greasy. Will visit again soon !

Absolutely loved coming here. This was out favourite place for breakfast when we came to visit the town! Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Even talked to us about Everton football club (even though we are the red side of Liverpool 🤣) Genuinely very friendly place and so unusual having a cafe on a converted train. Really cute and beautiful scenery for outdoor breakfasts too! Can't recommend this place more if I tried ! Thankyou!

The old Carriages Cafe has now been sold... and has become Milcote Station Cafe! It's been completely stripped and refurbished and has modern, comfortable seating inside as well as several picnic tables outside. Dogs are welcome - inside and outside - with dog water bowls provided too as well as a dog biscuit! The owners are extremely friendly, and the cafe has a good range of freshly cooked things like breakfasts, bacon rolls, toasted teacakes and so on, as well as fresh cakes and pre-packaged snacks like flapjacks to take on a walk. Excellent coffee too. They also have a photo diary showing the carriage being moved into place some 20-odd years ago. At about 45-60 minutes' walk from Stratford, this is a great place to walk to, with solid paths throughout so ideal for cycling too. I suspect we'll...

Great cafe for a biggish group of walkers to call in for refreshments because they are well organised and the food and drinks were excellent. I dropped in the day before to let them know we would be calling in and was given some helpful advice on how to order in big groups. The following morning I got a call from Nu to check our timings and was told that tables would be reserved for us. Our group of 17 were delighted to arrive at the cafe and see their reserved tables. The ordering process was quick as was the serving of our drinks. Nu and Carol did an excellent job looking after us and we left a very happy group all...
