Lovely location being a 15 min walk into Bidford-On-Avon. A very laid back campsite and friendly landlady. Sadly no food served Mon/Tue and main pub closed at the time of writing but there was a mini bar open at back of pub between 3-8pm on said days. Campsite was quiet but could envisage wait times for the only two toilets/showers being a problem when busy especially when one of showers wasn’t working upon our visit and toilets/showers not separate which is an unusual design. Shower pressure/temperature on the single working shower proved problematic on second day - fluctuating between scolding hot and freezing cold. Not great when trying to get kids washed. Sinks in shower/toilets were also very small so no space to place items. Definitely need to take your own loo roll as it was hit and miss if there was any, along with paper towels however they were replenished on request. The hand sanitisers outside were useful and a plus. Washing up area was better equipped with three big sinks although the lighting was very poor so torch is recommended. Electric hookups and water outlets were close to pitches which was convenient although lots of stinging nettles surrounded some of them and one of the children got stung. Good playground on-site which did keep kids entertained which was welcome. For the money, it’s a decent campsite which could be excellent with a few minor tweaks - most notably a separate toilet and...

This should be called β€œ the cottage of discontent β€œ , it’s not a campsite it’s a pub with a muddy field behind it, we got our motor home stuck as we entered the field and asked in the pub for some assistance and was told someone would come and tow us out, 3 1/2 hours later I had to ask another camper to help which gladly he did and eventually got to our pitch.I went for a shower and found the lock on the door broken, I had to undress in the uncleaned toilet as there was no room to do so in the shower room. The next day we went to another village for a drink as we were told the pub didn’t open until 3pm on our return ( before 3pm) we asked for a food menu only to be told they had no food left, as the pub had been open anyway. When leaving the site on Monday we had to ask again for assistance as everyone was getting stuck in the mud. I went to the toilet and found it had not been cleaned since my arrival. Would never stay here again and would recommend anyone who does to go when it’s dry, don’t waste your money...

We have camp here previous years and was OK for a little local break however this year I would honestly say I won't be returning .||There is a huge gazebo in the middle of the field.. granted for occasions but it's wasn't being used and In my opinion very unsightly and not necessary needed to be there permanently.||Toilets are not well kept, not restocked with the basic such as toilet roll which is the bare minimum I believe should be on top of,||Lock not on the male toilets so anyone can walk in whilst showering and just need modernising completely, both male and female toilets ||Park is average but again needs abit of TLC looking old and dated.||Caravans seem to be pitched there on a permant basis (which is fine) however one guy that is there, comes across as arrogant and I think he think owns the whole camp, which takes the nice hoilday vibe completely out of this site....||Just overall the camp needs some money spent on it, improvements in all areas and reassess what has gone wrong.. cause it...

The Cottage is slightly misleading insofar as it looks okay from the front and the village location is stunning. First impressions can deceive as you'll realise if you venture beyond. They've made next to no effort with the asthetics and the main garden area round the back looks like a shanty town stocked by furniture discarded by a house clearance company. The open dustbins encourage the wasps and the planters and kids play area are disintegrating from age and lack of maintenance.

I've been a vegetarian for almost 40 years & this place is one of the best I've been to by along way! The 3 course Sunday dinner for Β£17.50 is unbelievable value. My wife, who is not veggie, had beef & was equally pleased. Fantastic real ales to round the experience off. Friendly staff who were very welcoming, made it a wonderful afternoon out. Although we live 30 minutes away, this will become a regular place to visit.

This is an amazing find, the barman Matt was super friendly. we sat outside in the garden, well presented, plenty of seating and lots of sun parasols. We had food and it blew us away, staff going the extra mile to make a great experience. Also has plenty of parking and a well laid out campsite which has showers and toilets. I would recommend a visit and we will certainly be back. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
