A Fantastic Stay at The Lion in Tredington

We had a brilliant two-night stay at The Lion in Tredington. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful – nothing was too much trouble. The locals were also very friendly, which gave the place a really warm and relaxed atmosphere.

The food was excellent throughout our stay – delicious, well-presented, and clearly made with care. Our bedroom was lovely too: very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a short break.

The location is perfect – Tredington is a charming village with plenty of free parking, and it’s ideally situated for exploring all the best spots in the Cotswolds. The bar had a great selection of drinks, and it was a cosy place to unwind in the evenings.

All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay – we’d definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone...

My wife and I stayed here for three days late Sept 25 and have to say that everything was perfect. I have never considered myself as a VIP or even been called one ever. Mark however treated us both as such for our 3 day stay. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his staff. His local knowledge made our stay just perfect and the hotel location itself was ideal. Very quirky which is what we like and all the food was excellent. Word of mouth sells the place because the food is so good. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel with Mark being the absolute perfect gentleman all day long. Once when the car park was completely full I parked elsewhere not realising I had parked next to his car. I apologised but was told I could do so being a VIP. What more could you ask. Nestled in the charming village of Tredington, The Lion is a delightful discovery for anyone seeking a memorable pub experience. With its quirky, spacious interior, guests are warmly welcomed by the friendly team, with pecial thanks to Mark, the dedicated and charismatic manager. The food is outstanding; I thoroughly enjoyed the nachos, beetroot curry, and Kim’s delicious treacle tart. Kudos to the chef, and the entire kitchen team for creating a culinary delight.

Upstairs, the space has been thoughtfully transformed into a selection of unique and comfortable rooms, perfect for an overnight stay—or longer. The property also boasts expansive gardens and a large detached events space, making it ideal for gatherings.
