The Snitterfield Arms — Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

We were recommended this pub for great food , however I think the people that recommended it haven't been since new management took over....

First impressions we were not expecting a kids bouncy castle outside and screaming kids, outside this village pub ,the entrance was blocked with a sign saying use the other door, not a very welcoming entrance.

The menu choice was very poor burgers ,more burgers, fish and chips, a couple of salads and one choice of pasta dish .. nothing jumped out at us . Nothing seasonal, more a kids menu..stuck we ordered the nacho starter then fish and chips each for a main... Nachos ,well empty a bag onto a plate cover in cheese and some pulled something? Guacamole was horrible and the salsa had no flavour, also no sour cream..the fish was ok but very greasy ,the chips were a mix of cooked and over cooked and accompanied by some grey looking peas..

All in all very disappointed, we definitely wouldn't go back ,was expecting more from a pub in this area, travel 10 minutes instead and a pick from a great choice of food in Stratford upon...

As a group of friends we have been to this pub several times for celebratory meals. Interested to see how the new owners are coping we booked a table today (7th October). We were slightly disappointed on this occasion. Can't fault the friendliness of the staff or the cleanliness of the pub. Unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. Gastro prices for standard food! One of the partly had Leek and Stilton crumble which had a sweet crumble topping!? Others in the party had roast meat meals, but with these, the roast potatoes were overcooked. Otherwise, the starters were absolutely fine and the service was exemplary. Hopefully the minor issues experienced are just teething problems and things will...

Don’t bother. First time food was bland. Second time we decided to just have a drink. It was busy as a pub quiz was about to start within half hour. I checked with a lady organising who confirmed where we could sit. Said we were happy to join in. She said great it’s for charity open to anyone. Had we seen the poster. Got second drink. AFTER paying I was told by the young girl behind bar we were not wanted and asked to leave as soon as possible as she wanted our seats for someone else. I said we were joining in the quiz and had been told it was ok. She said we will see about that, we don’t want you. Drink up and go. Rude is not the word. Her mum needs to teach her...
