We popped in here on our way home for some food….Not a huge selection of drinks to be fair - no rose & just 1 cider. I decided to go for spicy chicken burger and my partner fancied the “fish pie”. However, fish pie was unusual and more like an en croute, in pastry. Mash was dry and peas were on the hard side. Not like a fish pie with the fish cooked in with the potato, and no mention on the menu. The burger was better, although it wasn’t at all spicy, in fact the pepper added spice. It lacked a spicy sauce & without was a little dry. This isn’t a bad review, just giving constructive feedback. The chef and possibly the owner was serving drinks, cooking food and taking payments, with help from a young waitress/ bar maid, so possibly stretched a bit, but very friendly and helpful.

Awesome food in the nicest Cotswolds village. This is such a special pub - a proper local that is so welcoming of us townie tourists. Loved it so much we went there 3 time in one weekend. Thank you to Eve, Bev and Julian - the most hospitable hosts! We will definitely be back. Thank you!!

Superb Saturday lunch for the three of us in lovely, relaxing surroundings. Fantastic value rump steaks for my cousin and me were delicious and my wife's cooked ham and eggs platter was magnificant. We'd spoilt ourselves with the yummy prawn starter and just had to follow the main course with an ice-cream desert, well what could be better on one of the hottest days of the year?!. Oh, and the draught beer and red wine went down a treatr as well! Many thanks to Julian and Kate for their superb cooking and service. Julian mentioned he will be displaying in the pub his recently received "Top 10% Trip Advisor" award - and undoubtedly well deserved it is too. Can't recommend the Stirrup Cup highly enough - and looking forward to...

Had a poor experience here, I felt they simply had no time or interest in me so I stood around waiting for some time before I was noticed. When I was made to feel like I was a huge inconvenience and that was unpleasant to say the least. When we finally did get seen to the food took some time and was really average, certainly not worth the price we paid. In hindsight I should have complained but suffice to say I can't recommend the pub at all, overall a...
