Family local pub with good choice of beers cider and wine. But sadly they do not cater for food allergies or various dietary requirements. I have not eaten at the pub since they served us both a vegetarian curry that was awful. However later tried again with a savoury tart pre covid that was disgusting just a very basic pastry base with a lump of melted cheese in it and they refused to give me money back. Sadly landlady has decided to be even more rude in her reply and probably would benefit from basic politeness towards ppl with allergies who cannot consume any drinks available from the bar. Very sad to see she feels this way towards ppl who cannot help having an illness and didn't receive glass of tap water. Just really sad. Some ppl just really hate vegans. But quite shocked at her reply. Being our local for many years I did mention it would've been nicer to thank us for our custom over the years. It must've been quite harsh to attack me for being honest and making me feel so guilty after she's well aware we had a family grievance recently. Customer retention and ways to help achieve a happier customer experience maybe more happier ways to resolve for both...

We all ordered food and what an enjoyable plate of food it was, I had the fish pie with veg, very tasty plate of food and well presented. 2 others had Gammon and chips and both said what a big plate of food it was, another had Lasagne and said that it wasn't one that was bought in, it was made in the kitchen and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Then chicken nuggets and chips and needless to say another empty plate. The chef came out to individual tables to ask if the food was OK. This was a nice touch. The staff were very helpful and professional, and pleasant. They have a huge garden that over looks the Gloucester to sharpness canal, which in the summer I would imagine adds to the pleasure of open air dining. The pub was very well laid out, lots of different places to sit and eat, or drink with a nice ambience. Will I return, without doubt, I will definitely be back and probably more than once. Add the Pilot Inn to your places to visit. You will definitely not be...

Posted review that I have just posted for a meal I have just had elsewhere that was more expensive than yours and I will be not repeating!!! Clothiers Inn . Lunch time visit. Very disappointed with my Caesar Salad, almost tasteless.Dressing was very thin and no hint of anchovy or garlic.Tasted more like a poor mayo.No taste of garlic, quite the worse one that I have ever tasted. The waitress said that lots of people do not like Anchovies so in that case they would not be having this type of salad.I will enclose a recipe for the sauce in case Harry would like it .Go to the Pilot Inn and try their's.!!!!! A classic dressing recipe for a Caesar salad made with garlic, lemon, Dijon mustard, anchovies and extra virgin olive oil. Well mixed. And serve Anchovies and shavings of Parmesan Cheese as well.!!! Copy of this sent to...
