A review which is long overdue. The Brickmakers is without a doubt, one of the best pubs I have ever been to, and continue to go to.

Situated on its own, on an A Road you cannot, not be tempted to go in when you pass the beautiful brick building, with it sat in such an idyllic spot away from everything.

One huge bonus is the outdoor seating. Not only at the back of the pub, but the front too. You can literally follow the sun when visiting, all day! I always note how perfect the outdoor plants and trees are. They’re always immaculately maintained.

As for the pubs inside…. It’s cosy, lots of seating around the bar area and a perfectly designed restaurant area. For the winter months there is a beautiful fire place you can sit in front of.

Now for the food. Most often we order from the bar menu (separate menu to the restaurant menu). The portions for the price are excellent. A good selection of lagers, ales, wines and spirits so you’re never short for choice. Other than mostly being sat in the bar area, the restaurant menu and service is always faultless every time we have been. Even on a busy roast dinner Sunday. There is nothing you won’t like on this menu if you like a good pub!

Lastly, the entire team and service is always spot on. I have to mention, Max in particular. He always makes us feel so welcome. He’ll make any request work, just ask for him. It’s a big part of why we keep coming back to this lovely place.

See you...

Booked a table for Sunday lunch with the in-laws. My call was taken quickly and my booking dealt with politely. On arrival The Brickmakers was busy and the atmosphere was buzzing, always a good sign. We were seated at our table quickly that was pre prepared with fresh bottled water which was nice. The menu was great and the price was very reasonable for such a highly rated establishment which was refreshing. A lovely selection of ales were on tap including two guest ales. A bottle of Prosecco was ordered and came quickly by the manager who was very pleasant and talkative. Our waitress was also really nice and friendly. Our orders were taken in good time and our starters came quickly followed by our mains. Puddings were ordered and came quickly aswell. The place was heaving and the atmosphere was amazing but this didn't take away from the quality of the food and service which was fantastic throughout. Everybody was very friendly, we had our newborn daughter with us who received non stop attention from staff and customers which was really nice. The garden was lovely and completely filled, they even had a live singer which was great. All in all a lovely, faultless experience and we can't wait to go back. Our only disappointment was we couldn't book for Christmas day as they're already fully booked but this just goes to show the popularity and we'll just have to settle for Christmas...

First of all...lots of parking spaces...always a bonus! A group of 4 of us were here last night...we had all pre- ordered from the Set Christmas menu, which was very varied to begin with.

We all agreed that it had been a long while since we had been served such good quality food.....absolutely perfectly cooked..and served with a smile. A few minor changes and requests were made by us, which were all accommodated without question ....nothing was too much trouble. At the end of the evening, Max, the manager on the night ,took the time to chat to us at the table ,telling us about future function night's that will be held at the Brickmakers in 2024.

All in all, you could say that we were a bit blown away by the experience......this is a real gem of a place....hard to find these days... we will most definitely be back in the New Year. ( to spend our £10 off vouchers!!😉).

The restaurant was heaving, with all tables full....and it was a Wednesday night!

I've only slightly marked down on atmosphere because we had a very 'loud' table next to us, who for the majority of the night seemed to be socially unaware of the people around them, however, we didn't let this ruin our evening. Well done to all...especially the chef and his team....who really do need to see this...

I went on a Sunday, luckily we booked a few days in advance as it was very busy! Not overly impressed with the starter selection, (we had the salmon, it was ok), although this was possibly just for their Sunday menu (and in hindsight I probably didn’t need a starter, roast and dessert). The roast was great everything was cooked perfectly. The desserts we had were very nice (crumble and sticky toffee pudding). Staff couldn’t have been better, they were very busy but every time they walked past us they checked to make sure we were ok and didn’t need anything. Overall great place.

I have been to the Brickmaker's many times before and this time is like every other. The service and food was very good. We were a large party of 13 and it was no problem for the team there. No delay for starters or mains and desserts came without a hitch too. We all really enjoyed our meal and its only a short drive for us so we will of course go back. The seating area out back is a great place to chill and catch up with friends and also watch the sunset through the trees. The Brickmaker's is a really pleasant restaurant to drink and dine at.

Lovely Sunday Roast and delicious fresh dessert. The service was super friendly, shout out to Emma who was super helpful. My roast chicken was juicy and tender, potatoes were crispy and filling, veg cooked nicely and gravy was tasty, Yorkie was ok. Loved my chocolate cake with cherry sorbet and almonds! Definitely returning customer! Little note for management: the charge of over £14 for a cauli steak is very excessive. Please consider serving a nut roast for veggie eaters.
