Okay I want to start by saying this review is not about the food. The food is actually really nice.

Their customer service however, is shocking. Me and my partner used to have takeaway from here once a week, for a while. Two days ago we discovered a dish that we really liked (Paneer and potato buna) and like gluttons we had it back to back for 3 nights. On the third day we had it, the dish looked very sparing. The dish that usually had 7-8 pieces of paneer only had 4 and one potato. So, as any customer would do, we rang them back to advise them that it wasn't as filling as usual and maybe they had mistaken it for a side dish. The person at the other end of the phone said "no worries, call back another time and we will give you one on the house".

So far so good.

The next day we decided to take them up on the offer (like I said, glutton) so we rang them and they said okay. When we arrived, however, the manager procceded to embarrass me and my partner for 10 minutes by arguing with us about how we "should not be getting it for free", "it came in a large tub so it must have been a main" and demanding that we pay for the food, even going so far as to open the tin in the middle of the restaurant floor to show us the food and then asking for half of the money.

I did not, and still do not, understand. I did not expect a free meal when i called to complain the first time (I actually only wanted them to be aware for the next time we ordered) and I would not have wasted my time travelling, if they had just been honest, they had plenty of opportunities to resend the offer and keep us a customer. Instead, now they have embarrssed me so much that I will never go back.

DO NOT offer, if you cannot...

Visited Amani last month and a bit disappointed about the whole experience. The customer service is really poor. We had a booking for ta table for 6pm, however just after 7pm we've been asked by one of the waiters about the time we will be leaving as they have more people waiting ... Found this really rude, especially that we have not finished yet as still had some drinks and we were waiting for our desserts yet to come. Usually restaurants have approximately 2 hours for bookings unless you still eat or make orders, at Amani it was only 1hr with few minutes and they were already expecting us to leave... Looks like they not put attention on quality of the service, but to have as many people as possible to get as much money ....

Need to say they have lovely mains and starters, however when it comes to desserts its better not to have it. Old and really frozen, very disappointing as looks great on pictures in the menu but the reality doesn't reflect it at all.

Also I've found a spider is going on the table, asked a waiter to remove it and he just took it and killed in his hands 🤮 And when it came to pay for the bill the tip was already added on without checking it with us or asking if we are willing to pay for it! Don't think they have deserved the tip with the whole service!! Not sure if want to...

Went for my partner's birthday meal and the restaurant was very accommodating after booking with very short notice as our original plans had fallen through last minute at another restaurant which had let us down and we are soo thankful they did as this restaurant really made my partner's birthday special.

From start to finish the whole experience was faultless.

A member of staff greeted us upon arrival. There was a very slight wait despite the restaurant being exceptionally busy. There was a waiting lounge area to accommodate this.

Once seated the waiting staff were amazing, very attentive noticing when we needed things without us having to ask. Food came very quickly. Many waiting staff to accommodate the volume of customers.

I was also incredibly appreciative that after me asking staff to accommodate some kind of birthday dessert or something along the lines to be brought to the table to surprise my boyfriend, they kindly brought a slice of cake with a candle and serenaded him which really made it special for him.

Thank you! You saved my boyfriend's birthday meal and made it more than we could...

Sometimes it is hit and miss (more hits than misses) but I went with my cousin and a few elderly relatives for my birthday on Sunday. The service was amazing ESPECIALLY because my elderly relatives are VERY awkward. We ordered a few different dishes and it all tasted very good, there wasn't a single complaint about any of it. I'm contemplating having my mum's 70th in there in September and that will be very difficult and the elders will be awkward as always but I'm sure if anyone can handle it, it's these guys. If there is one gripe we had a comment by some horrible customers outside just before we entered but that's not the restaurant's fault. I suppose anywhere can attract simpletons. The good thing was that it didn't ruin the night as the food and the service was top notch! Oh and they accidentally overcharged us and we didn't realise but they came out in the car park to get us to give us the difference back!

It's ok, pretty standard yet it was really busy don't get why. It's a standard Bangladeshi restaurant posing as an Indian restaurant. The dishes taste kind of sweet because they have a lot of onion in them, excessive oil too, this gives the Bangladeshi background away, plus the waiters spoke the language. I thought the service was decent enough and I liked the decor and carpark facility. The food was ok, prices were decent too, they did mess the order up though which wasn't great.
