Great place to meet for breakfast and a pot of tea workers are lovely very polite. They are also volunteers they sell cakes too slightly over priced on some and dry. But I still go back for the breakfast and cuppa as it's lovely and inside is nice and clean. Better cake baker I'd give it the full five stars

Very welcoming café run by friendly volunteers. Food on offer was solid and nicely priced, though I'll admit the cakes looked like the real stars and I didn't try any of them (despite being very tempted by the Jaffa Cake Cake).

This place is great with its friendly staff and delicious food. It supports good causes and mainly run by committed volunteers. Well done and thank you! P.S. SAUSAGES and coffee are great!

UPDATED REVIEW BELOW..😠

Lovely place, with lovely food....only wish they had blinds to block out some of the sun when you're sitting by the windows as it blinds you and also becomes very hot.

UPDATE.. Went today and thought I'd have a slice of cake...boy was I disappointed. The cake was so dry and didn't taste Lemon at all. So the lady apologised which was great. She told my friend and i that the cake wasn't made by the ladies it was bought in...fair enough. She came over with a piece of another cake and explained that she had made this one. The cake was so moist, but my friend and I pulled out 2 white hairs (my friend and I have brown hair). The lady asked how it was, and I politely told her about the 2 hairs we found. Her back was instantly up, and she refused to accept they were hers and more or less accused us of putting them there ( it was the same colour hair as the ones on her head). Now, a simple apology would have been acceptable, but to be rude about it has now forced me to make this updated review... a shame really as I used to like going there. I will now be taking my business elsewhere, which is sad because the rest of the...

When asked if I wanted beans or Tomatoes? ,I asked if I could have a little bit of each! ..... (which most cafes are happy to accommodate me with for no extra charge)... however I was told yes! ... I could have a bit of both... only to be charged for an extra portion when I receive my bill. Also I find the community cafe a bit pricey! as I am currently unemployed! and considering it is mainly run by volunteers and not payed staff, I thought it would have been lower on cost! The food is tasty! and a staff are very nice but had it not been local to me,I would much rather save some money and eat at one of a few restaurants in the...

Heard about this little gem from a friend so we thought would try it out. You wouldnt know it was a volunteer cafe from the service level or the quality of the food. We had breakfast both times. Food quality was amazing, very fresh and not greasy at all. The staff were very friendly and profesional.

We will definately be visiting again on our next trip...
