What a shambles today. Only 3 main tills open. 2 staff on CService. I on the self check out for small baskets and 1 on the very new self service 'check your massive load of shopping out yourself tills'. The new tills, because they are new tills, were playing up and not scanning. The poor chap was really frazzled, trying to keep all his patience on an even keel. He was sweating, huffing and running about like a headless chook. The queue at CS was, at its worst, 11 people waiting. The main tills, the three that were open, had queues at least 6 trolley deep up the isles. It was pandemonium. Everyone was getting in everyone's way. No manager appeared for 16 minutes, when called by the CS team. I timed it. It is utterly unfair to have your staff work in such a stressful situation. Not enough staff were working today. Not enough tills were open. If you are implementing new check outs, get those managers on the tills and sort out the queues. Then sort out other problems. Don't make my shop a problem because you messed up. Your manager took offence when he was asked if he was till trained. Too high up the chain now to support the customers right to pay for their shop and not have to wait 30 mins for the...
Read moreThis store just gets worse. I am a local resident and a Devonian. It seems that this store is managed by someone who has little or no local insight. The population in most places in the south west quadruples during July/August - so one would expect stock levels to take that into account. Visit this store during the summer and it’s often stocked like you’d expect to find a shop somewhere in Eastern Europe! If the shelves seem full - have a closer look and you’ll probably find that what’s on the shelf isn’t what it says on the label! In my experience, it’s usually over-stock, spread out to fill up all the empty spaces. Fancy a pasty? (after all, you’re in the south west) Forget it! This one item, at least, should be stocked at all times but it doesn’t seem to matter what time I visit (never at peak times) the pasty counter is always bare! I used to get all my shopping here but now I only stop in for...
Read moreMorridons is pretty good, all products are fresh, the store is spotless & prices quite competitive. It's the closest convenient superstore to reach within my area. Staff are always helpful when approached. The deals on offer are a welcome saving! All positive. I love Morrisons, truly I do.....
*However...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD..... why is your store so painfully FREEZING to shop at?? I can't wait to leave,& just get the heck out of there before I get frostbite. How do your staff survive hours & hours like that? I see these poor folks dressed up with fleeces, scarves & even on occasion, wooley hats & fingerless gloves to keep warm 🥶😟 It's dreadfully uncomfortable, but I guess it keeps your fresh produce, etc... happy, even if not your customers. Well done anyway, I'll still come back, even if I have to plan my visit to whizz around the aisles & spend less 'cause the brain freeze made me forget 30% of...
