Andy's Plaice — Restaurant in Tendring

Thought i would give this Fish n Chip a go as ive read the reviews, But to be very Honest im not very happy with the Fish n Chipsi bought here this lunchtime, the Fish tasted horrible and were beyond eating, even my cat turned her nose up the Fish. So it went straight in the Bin. And needless to say I wont be using this Fish Chip shop again. Besides that i was kept waiting nearly 25 minutes whilst other after mer being served and left the shop. I know mine was freshly cooked but so was their orders. No in future i will stay with the Fish Inn a much better service and much better food. I will not be telling my family or friends to visit Andys Plaice Fish n Chips ever. Reluctantly gave one star but to me it doesnt...

possibly the best fish and chips I have ever had...really...absolutely excellent... I go every Friday... just went today, Friday 4/11/22... superb rock and chips, great value, need I say more? went again lunchtime today, 25/11/22...went again, lunchtime today, 9/12/22...rock and chips...16/12/22...half chicken and chips... absolutely lovely...a change from my usual simply superb traditional fish and chips, great food, great service...ok, let's face it...l get great food from here every week!😂 26 07 2025 just had another great meal... absolutely beautiful fish and chips,...

The food was fine but, I went in around 5.15pm. One person in there. I ordered sausage in batter, one large chips, portion chicken nuggets and 2 Gerkins. After people ome and went, they chatted between there selfs. Fryer guy nearly got them out but went to help with a young girl at till. Then put them in box announced them done. She then proceeded to serve somebody who had just arrived. Then finally got my food 5.50 pm approx. Just seemed slow slack service so will avoid...
