The Kitchen Cafe — Restaurant in Test Valley

Avoid and do not complain! We visited recently, my wife has allergies. We ordered food and the request was sadly obviously ignored by the servising staff therefore served wrong. When we asked for a replacement, we got attitude back from the staff, then the chef just scraped the unwanted off the plate and handed it back, we got a refund! We just visited again over a month later and were refused service for being fussy, disgusted! Awful service and such a shame as it's got a great reputation, just a disgusting behind the scenes attitude! I forgot, us Brits don't complain, otherwise this place may not...

You can get tea, coffee, breakfast in all manner of places... But the Kitchen Cafe is genuinely a cut above. Using quality local ingredients, and with owners and staff who are clearly aiming for more than just good (and exceeding that mark), this is a great spot for tea and cake, an English Breakfast.

On colder days there's even a wood burner in the covered garden centre area.

The kitchen cafe is a hidden gem in Romsey. We return most weeks for breakfast which is served all day. If you want breakfast first thing when they open on a weekend you do need to get there early as there is usually a queue at the door at 10am Sunday to guarantee a seat. If you do need to wait, it's not usually very long. Love this place and highly recommend to anyone wanting the best...
