First of all, the food we had was good, bacon and brie panini with side salad each, a portion of chips, all generous portion size and a couple of drinks. Visiting on a Friday lunchtime, a number of items were unavailable, no hot baguettes, no onion rings...and on what was a chilly February afternoon no hot drinks available at all. There was a log burner going but it appeared to be the only thing heating the entire pub so the place wasn't particularly warm. But then there was only 4 of us in there, us 2, another customer and the landlady who was friendly and chatty. The pub that time forgot would best describe the overall state of the place.
