Such a lovely pub. Recently done up by the new owners. When we arrived, the fire was roaring and felt so cosy. Outside in the back, they have two pigs and three rabbits. We at first only came in for drinks but after a while, one of us got a bit too hungry and had to try something. I'd overheard other diners raving about the food. I went for the rump steak done medium rare. Well, it was done to an absolute turn. It could not be faulted. So tender and flavoursome. Went again tonight and the difference between the 2 visits was unreal. I ordered a burger which was rather raw in the middle. When I told the staff it was a little too pink for me I was told it was fine to eat. As I didn't eat any more the staff did offer to replace my meal but the wife had finished so there was little point. I was again told it was fine to eat. Literally the food and desserts are insane here!! We just annihilated a 7 scoop sundae filled with countless jelly sweets and laces plus we could add mini fudge, mini marshmallows (oh and there was big marshmallows!!!! And a cone and whipped cream!!!!) Mini Smarties and mini Maltesers!!!! Amazing!!! I can't wait for another haha!!! Also, I was over the moon, being a cider drinker! That they had Thatchers haze!
