Considering this place is in the middle of nowhere, being run by one person, everything about it is great! We had smoothies which were very refreshing, and some tasty tiffin. What with being in the aforementioned middle of nowhere the card machine generally doesn't work, not without the owner running off up a hill to find a signal; entertaining to the casual observer, but not conducive to the smooth running of a business. Bring hard cash, or, perhaps if you're lucky, the owner will let you pay via bank transfer (as she did for us).

Another thing to note is that the owner has had a lot of trouble communicating with Google, and for the moment is listed as being temporarily closed. The cafe is, in fact, open for 6 months of the year (though, I neglected to ask which 6 months. ...feeling lucky? - I suspect throughout spring and summer; we visited in May)

For anyone walking the coastal path this cafe is a blessing, and deserves as much support as it can get, so go nuts, have 2 ice creams, layer a block of tiffin between 2 scones, drink 3 coffees to get you up that next hill, just keep this place alive else we all...

Unreliable opening times. Intended to drop in on this cafe during our coast path walk only to find when we arrived a pretty pathetic note on the window saying it was closed because of the rain. We’re not taking a big storm or hurricane winds, but good old British rain. We made use of the sheltered side section to consume our sarnies dreaming of the hot chocolates and other sundries we would’ve have bought. Whilst we were there, one of seven prince of Edinburgh groups turned up all looking very disappointed they couldn’t get anything, and counted at least a dozen cars stopping to see if the place was open. This cabin is in a great location and regardless of the weather would always attract customers and on this day we calculated they’d lost approx Β£300 in 30 mins. Would love to support local businesses like this but it’s hard to do this when the owners appear so willing to close their business just because of a few drops of rain. Cannot comment of course on the food and drinks other than to say (also noting other reviews) do not rely on this place for one moment during your visit or walk to the...

Visited Hartland Point. What a disappointment. Paid Β£3 to visit. No public convenience, but a cafe on site. Where do you wash your hands?? We had a 91 year old with us who needed public convenience, we were told no toilets at all. I asked the question, what are their options? to be told the nearest is back in Hartland or Stoke. Shameful! Gates were closed to the lighthouse. This should have been explained prior to payment. One favorable point, fantastic views out to sea. Should you decide to visit, be sure to use a public...

Fabulous place just off the beaten track and seeming in the middle of nowhere when we drove to it. It does cost a couple of pound to park but the walks and views are stunning. Be sure to have an ice cream, cake or cream tea from the friendly and very welcoming staff in the hut on the site. You also may have a glimpse of the odd Alpacha knocking around. Highly recommended.

No sure if this lil place is still open, went there last August, was all closed up and no sign of life about the place. I did visit a few years before and it was awesome but I'd check first, nice part of Devon for walks tho, crack on down to Hartland Quay, that's definitely got places open to eat, stunning views of Lundy on a good day too, Kushti Rye πŸšπŸ’›πŸŒ€πŸ‘£πŸΎπŸŒΎ

Bit of a hidden treasure, pay to get there, area for parking, small tea shop with a good selection of food, pleasant staff, great walk and incredible views. Lots of work and repairs going on, which is reassuring and nice to see that the work is being done. Such a pretty lighthouse, and seeing some seals was another bonus.
