Fryston Fish Bar — Restaurant in Wakefield

Ordered via their own app at 19:57 (time order was completed) and at half 9 I had to call to check on the order...on a TUESDAY.

Guy said he would check on the order...I was literally waiting 4 minutes before he came back and said "yeah, sorry, we'll get it to you as soon as possible"

This is their own app that they want you to order through?! They close at 10pm on a Tuesday! They tell me "soon as possible"? mate, you close in less than half an hour and my food was ordered over 90 minutes ago on a random Tuesday, why isn't my food already on the way?

Food finally arrived at 21:48...just reminder, the order,payment etc through THEIR app was all done at 19:57...

Driver didn't even offer any apologies, didn't say anything, just handed me my food and turned...

I have ordered from here many times and had no issues at all. The portions are a good size we usually get the chicken kebab wraps. We ordered 2 recently and I bit in to it and felt something hard on my teeth I thought it must be a bone so took a smaller bite and went to pick it out to find it was the end of a car/house key the metal part. I immediately spat out my food and threw the wrap in the bin. No idea how that could have even ended up in the wrap but despite always been nice chicken kebab wraps it has definitely put me off and made me feel sickly. I have had chips a couple if times and then a regular fish and chips of which both are freshly cooked with only a few minutes wait time and the portion size is really good value for money and both are very tasty. I've also had the curry sauce and that is also very tasty. I would definately recommend this place and personally am glad for it to be open. The staff are very pleasant and it is a really clean establishment....
